For me Bucs getting the goat Tom Brady has to be the best. He took a losing Bucs team to the Super Bowl in his first year and won it. Of course a division title in the following year. His impact was immediate and swift.
No way. Brady went to a loaded roster. All the bucs needed was an above average qb to win it all. The Bree’s signing is definitely the greatest FA signing of all time.
Counterpoint: the Bucs were about a .500 team despite Winston throwing 30 picks. Literally all they needed was a QB who didn’t throw 30 picks to be a SB contender.

Did everyone forget maybe the first great free agent signing of Warren Moon??? He played 6 seasons in the CFL due to the NFL’s racism about black Quarterback’s. After winning 5 Gray Cups in 6 years the NFL decided black, white or purple, Moon = green, as in big time money. Houston won a bidding war over him. While I’m sure they hoped for at least One Superbowl, I seriously doubt they had any regrets.

@Austicus 1000 Foles was a 3rd round pick in 2012. Eagles wanted Russell Wilson and miscalculated where he would go in the draft. Foles was with KC in 2016 and the Eagles signed him as a free agent after the season

I’d say Drew Brees was the greatest signing ever. He was good but not great on the Chargers, and they signed him to a decent contract and ended up being the greatest player in saints history. Unlike Brady and Manning, it wasn’t obvious that he was going to be great.
