BREAKING: Carson Wentz Traded to the Washington Commanders – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
BornOnTheWestCoast

Indianapolis sure does love QBs who were amazing till injury

    Guillaume Poirier

Bailey Zappe for the colts is a strong option!

    RatedRZac LL

He suck when it counted most . He wasn’t even injured, give us Carr and yall take Wentz instead of Washington?

    Darth Caedus

Wentz was never amazing. He might have been decent before his injury but Foles got the eagles through the playoffs.

    C Truth

Indy ruins a lot of QB talent.

` Xavier

They really traded for a quarterback who single-handedly cost his team a playoff spot against the friggin Jaguars. Lol

    C Truth

That is a false narrative by haters. If the team was as great as it was hyped up to be it would’ve carried him to the finish line; the way the Titans carry Tannehill. You jealous of him.

    ChillGuyDave

    L take
U do reali: how many times wentz helped eagles to the playoffs ?

    ChillGuyDave

@A. S. bro why in the world would we want those guys ?
Winston had a acl tear and he’s even more inconsistent than wentz
BridgewTer also got injured and has no arm
    Let use our head

    Kevin Henry

He didn’t single handedly cost them than game, that was total team failure. I’m no Wentz apologist but that Jaguars loss was not all on him, the whole team didn’t show up.

Argos2297

Wentz coming back to the NFC EAST is something I didn’t see coming

    titon ghose

    IK SCARED

    C Truth

@Cali619 Wentz might retire. Washington is where QB careers die.

    Cali619

@C Truth he won’t retire but he might request a trade or ask to get released if it goes bad which is very possible because of the reason that you just said lmao

    JamesJ30t

@Argos2297 — Steelers signed Trubisky. Looks like Garapolo could be the Colts new QB.

    Argos2297

@JamesJ30t I know this would more than likely impossible but Winston to the Colts would be the most wild thing ever.

elijah mccourtney

Hopefully he can command the team without getting injured

    Eduardo Garcia

I see what you did there.

    Edward Gaines

    Was that a pun? 😇

    ProStreetLex

@C Truth They did have alot people injured and covid…

    913_LWB

@C Truth Scary Terry , Dyami Brown , Ricky Seals Jones , Antonio Gibson , and picks 11 and 47 they could have a solid group of playmakers for Wentz. Don’t be surprised if WSH wins the NFC East this upcoming season. It’s definitely no teams division as we speak

George Davis

I’m going to be honest and I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but I’m just going to say it anyway. First of all, I wasn’t confident that Wentz was going to be good before last season, but at the end he actually turned out pretty solid. Second of all, now that they traded him, they don’t have a quarterback. This is a dumb move.

    Uptown G5

    @Sky Blaze you’re overly critical

    Fiasco

I rather have no qb than him might as well cut out loses now and find sum else

    F1M

@Sky Blaze I’m happy we traded him but Carson isn’t trash.

    Sky Blaze

@F1M colts should be happy they finessed the redskins in this trade they were probably going to cut wentz anyway and instead the colts get a 2nd and 3rd round for him when at the most itshould’ve been just a 4th straight up.

Uncle Ray

The colts will be better off without Wentz

    brendan gilmartin

    If they get a qb

    AlienLife

Sure . . . Maybe Brady will come out of retirement! Lol.

    C Truth

Wentz will be better off without the Colts. The Colts change QBs every year. The Colts are currently on their 7th QB. They will probably be on their 8th by the end of this season. Its a Colts thing–no big deal.

BW- Left Turn Racing

A quarterback known for constant injuries is going to a team who has a history of their quarterbacks getting injured.

I’ll be surprised if Carson starts every game.

    **************

Well what if it goes the other way and he doesn’t and they win a super bowl, ok maybe not that but couple playoff games could be realistic

    Sarah McCoy

    Trust me, he won’t

    eertiewpsdjk

6th ranked o-line last year but ok

    ChillGuyDave

@Sarah McCoy he did last year ..

Mat B

Facing the Eagles twice next season. Will be a nice reminder for Wentz on why they chose JH1 instead of him. And they sure did the right thing

    Bully Maguire

Don’t want another Qb. GO HURTS

    Rowdy Jr

With that scrub of a so called “QB” playing for the eagles and has an ironic funny; stupid last name? Not a chance. GO CARSON!!

    Chief

Give it another year or two until the Eagles find a new QB. There’s a reason running QB’s never win super bowls.

    Chuck Shartz

    Wentz will dominate Philly lol

    William Byham

    REDSKINNATION Agrees😝

Chris Anders

It will be interesting to see him play again against the Eagles. The Colts are doomed to QB hell it seems which as a Texans fan is fine by me.

    AlienLife

Wentz could very well be injured by the time the Commanders face the Eagles. His history doesn’t bode well.

    Archduke of KEK

    @AlienLife lol

    ChillGuyDave

@AlienLife he played all season lol
He had one bad injury year
    2020 he got benched

Sports311

The fact that he stunk up the joint in the last game of the regular season as a Colt. If he doesn’t deliver in Washington, he’s a backup at best

    C Truth

So he holds a clipboard for 10 million plus dollars a year. That’s a good gig.

    William Byham

Where’s Colt McCoy when WE need him 🙃

    C Truth

    Nah, the entire team flopped.

Alexander Guevara

Just when the name Commanders was embarrassing enough 😅😅

Fat Pizza

Too soon, I think the Colts should have given him one more year.

And yes, I know the Jaguars game was bad, but can’t judge a QB on one game.

    Legit Heat Wrestling Show

As an Eagles fan seeing Wentz both inside and outside of the fan perspective I think Carson Wentz is a good QB but a bad leader. As the QB you should be the most composed person on the field and Wentz more often than not plays too reckless, which makes him unreliable, which makes his teammates feel they can’t put their trust in him when he needs to make a play. Plus there is talk of him being uncoachable, not being able to take hard coaching and criticism. If all those things are true he’d destined to be a backup the rest of his career.

    Jerry Riggs

None on the Colts played great in that game. They all tried to coast that game.
They said Ursay was upset, pill heads ARE moody.

    ChillGuyDave

@Jesse Hernandez bro stick to soccer
Dude pointed out what wentz did
U act like the colts had great receivers
    Pittman all th say had

    James Zeigler

Wasn’t just that game the whole last month of the season outside of the 4th quarter against the cardinals was horrendous and you can’t coach him hard and he isn’t a leader and his reckless style of play as a colts fan good riddance.

    Jesse Hernandez

@ChillGuyDave ummm racist? And even on philly he had good receivers and still hasn’t done anything

David Zheng

Its always a crazy constant reminder how good he was until his injuries about to end his career.

    Joshua Branson

He wasnt good lol the only season he played and he was good in was the season where he played the last place easiest schedule in the NFL

Jose Ruelas

Good luck in Washington Wentz. ✈️ 🏈

    Edward Gaines

Carson is going back to wentz he came.

Jahnee Cash

This is his last chance to redeem himself. If he goes another losing season he’s done for good.

    C Truth

@Bruce Bruce Dude has made his money and he has a family now. He’s not going to be traveling around the country with kids.

    Bruce Bruce

    @C Truth
He doesn’t play well again, he will have no choice. Don’t believe for one second if it doesn’t work out and Washington no longer wants him, he just going to retire. People move all the time with around the world with money to find a way to make more money with their kids. Quit being naive thinking just because he doesn’t want to, he doesn’t have to. Already 3 teams in 3 years

    C Truth

@Bruce Bruce His situation is different. Those people don’t have their industry bearing down on them in the national media dogging them out turning every fan base against them. He’s had to work against the grain. Wentz will have over 100 million he’s financially secure. Guys who were starters & are still playing back up are likely broke & mismanaged their money. Some are just greedy motivated by money. That is not Wentz. C.W is a devout Christian. He will move on to something else, he has other interests and he will have other opportunities. Most starters who were franchise QBs do not hang around the sport playing back up. Why would he? Sorry, to burst your fantasy. Wentz won’t be begging for crumbs. He will accept his football career for what it was because, he plays hard–he gives it everything. He’s type A personality. “When I lay my head on the pillow I know I did everything I could.” That is all any athlete can do. Like most starters who are type A alpha male personalities he will move on like, Bradford, Palmer, Mannings, Brees, Rothlisberger, Luck, Hasselbeck, Vick, McNabb, Grossman, Brady, Rivers, Boller, Plummer, Cutler, Manuel, Sanchez, Bortles, Schuab, J. Freeman, K. Collins, Delhomme, D. Garrad, B. leftwich, Flutie, Bledsoe, C. Pennington etc., etc.. Guys like Dalton & Flacco might be broke? Wentz has injuries, he plays hard he will not play back up Qb for years. He’s never been a 2nd tier guy and doesn’t see himself that way. If you can’t see this I have nothing for you.

    C Truth

@Bruce Bruce Wentz has made over 100 million. He’s plays with everything he has and leaves it on the field “When I lay my head on the pillow, I know I did everything I could.” He is a type A personality. He goes hard, plays hard leaves it all on the field. That’s all an athlete can do. Wentz doesn’t see himself as a second tier QB. He will move on because he can move on. You are naive to thinks he’s going to play 10 years of back up for what? He will just move on like the rest of the Type A, Alpha males who play QB. Less successful franchise QBs like Blake Bortles, Jay Cutler, Christian Ponder, Kyle Boller, Sam Bradford, Carson Palmer and others just picked up and moved on. You have no reason to believe Carson Wentz will hang around the sport forever dragging his family around the country. That’s your fantasy. I’m not naive to believe he will do what the others do. If he doesn’t want to play anymore then he won’t. I don’t believe he will. He’s financially secure and doesn’t see himself as a 2nd tier QB. Why do you have a problem with this? Its the reality for most guys who played franchise QB. He’s in control of his life he decides what he does —not you. Playing back up is a choice not a duty. What’s wrong with you?

    Bruce Bruce

    @C Truth
Sounds good but don’t believe that Christian bullshit. Religious people are the most greedy. If he proves me wrong, good for him and I can admit I was wrong but he will be a backup somewhere. The taxes have already eaten into that over $100 million already, especially with 3 moves in 3 years. We both agree though that this is last chance to be the starting QB for a team

Victor Jolly

So Washington got a better Qb than they had last year and kept their first round draft picks? Not that bad of a deal for Washington

    ChillGuyDave

@Will Diggs lol I love how he said injuries gonna happen to wentz ? Yet all the guys Washington wanted where just as injured if not more
RW missed 4-5 games yet he isn’t consisted injury prone

    The Wrestler

I’d rather have Heinicke or Fitzpatrick over Wentz at this point. They have a better chance at winning a Super Bowl than Wentz does.

    William Byham

@The Wrestler Fitz For Sure 🏉

Austin Fletcher

I feel like this is good for neither team?? Washington needed a good quarterback and didn’t get one. The Colts needed good compensation for Wentz but are still left without a long-term QB or a first-round draft slot to pick one with.

This just feels like both teams lose … BUT … one or both teams can salvage the trade.
– If Wentz returns to 2017 form, or even just decent, then the Commanders come out OK.
– If the Colts can use these picks and not too much else to trade up and nab a decent first, then they’ll be OK, too.

That being said, I doubt either will happen. What a weird trade.

    C Y

You seem to over simplify a game. Your game looks like a one man QB team. It takes a lot to be a good team to win not just a QB.

    Bruce Bruce

My Colts win the trade with Washington. He was average all year and collapsed in the final weeks of the season. We were better off with Phillip Rivers. We ain’t going after any of these QBs in the draft. We need someone to help us win games now!

    Bruce Bruce

    @Chief
Go look at his stats for every game, he was the weak link. Wentz was a disappointment and was going to get someone fired if he stayed.

    settripsbunch

Wild how colts made that 3rd round pick a better situation in less then 2 weeks

finchborat

We’ll see how he does with the Redskins/Commanders.

Alex

Colts learning the hard way what the Eagles already knew. Here is a quote from an Indy reporter about the situation:

“As for the Colts, the issues with Wentz stretched back to before the season began, one source said, and over the course of the year, some grew frustrated at what they deemed a lack of leadership, a resistance to hard coaching and a reckless style of play, which had a role in several close losses this year.”

Congrats Indy fans and condolences to Washington fans…

    Joel Alarcon

@Apostle I’m glad you know what you’re talking about man 💀 but Carson is still average. He choked to the Jaguars

    William Byham

    REDSKINNATION 😢

    Apostle

@Joel Alarcon I admit he choked in the most important game of the season, the defense is also to blame for that loss. Wentz still had a solid season.

    Let common sense prevail

I couldn’t have said it better myself! Thank you Washington!

    Will Brench

@Apostle if you watched the colts play last year, you would know taylor was the reason for his statline. it’s obvious when you watch the tape

bryan ifeanyi

This is a upgrade for Washington. Will always love Wentz. He is a very good quarterback and playmaker. Can be dangerous. My Eagles have to play him twice lol…we shall see how this goes
