@on1y … it’s not like it matters …football isn’t like baseball where there is a deadline involved…if you’re not inducted within a certain number of years of retirement — your out of luck…Sam got in because he’s dead…They couldn’t even get the banner correct for Sam’s presenter Rickey Jackson… it said the “City Champ” was himself inducted in 2016. …Rickey was inducted in 2010
@Robert Hussey there’s plenty of good deceased fb players that weren’t good enough for the hof. So Idk what sam being dead had anything to do with it. And if that’s true why they wait 12 years after his death???? Why didn’t they induct him the year after he died
Finally Leroy Butler got in! He was the last member of the 1990’s All-Decade Team to get his gold jacket. Glad to see him finally get a much deserved spot in Canton.

Personally I thought Andre Johnson was better than Calvin Johnson athletic wise. Steve Smith was really good but not transcendent. Sam mills and bryant young there was nothing special about their careers. So I don’t see how they got in
I am surprised by this class. The more recent finalists will one day get their day in the sun, but in the mean time it’s nice to see older players who have waited for years finally get in.

Your heart helped me through my ruff times and for that you have always be in my Hall Of Fame Of Hearts! I am sorry for your passing some years ago but your heart lives on, not only in the game of football but in the game of life.
FINALLY. Like Snake, Branch should’ve been alive to celebrate this. Congrats to his family…having met him, Cliff was one of the most kind, decent, happy, selfless sports figures ever. Beyond deserving and really happy for this.
Happy that Cliff is in. One of the best deep threat receivers of all time and on top of that, one of the best playoff receivers of all time. It’s about time he got in.

Yes, him and Biletnikoff had to be one of the most underrated WR duos in NFL. I mean their numbers aren’t staggering compared to today’s wideouts, but back then in the 60s and 70s, they were one of the best tandems. Finally!
