Non cowboys fans kept telling me “this could be the cowboys year” and I thought “no it isn’t”

As a cowboys fan, I agree, I don’t even care enough anymore to get worked up about them losing anymore. 2014 was the the last time I was upset over a cowboys playoffs loss. But that’s mainly because 2014 they were actually contenders. Since 2016 we can’t beat decent teams barely ever. So I don’t expect much in playoffs.

@Chris Thompson Dallas led the league in penalties all year it’s nothing new. They also led the league in turnovers on Defense. Unfortunately playing so aggressive comes at a cost, BUDDY.

Not long ago most would say based on Sf play they had not business being there. But now that they are in they’re playing at a high level that playoffs teams should play at. On paper Dallas is the better team. Better QB and better receiving core.

Only the Niners didn’t bite and didn’t call a timeout. Which then means the Cowboys have got to manage the clock in time to get their offense on the field or call a timeout themselves. They didn’t do either and got called for a delay of game penalty. It’s still clock mismanagement and a lack of situational awareness by the Cowboys something that’s plagued them this season and…..it happened again later in the same game with the QB draw up the middle. That’s all on coaching.

@Yk kinzie It should’ve never came to the last few seconds of the game. When Dallas plays good teams than all of a sudden they come with a timid game plan. Dallas have displayed the ability to rollover average teams but refuses to cash in when it matters the most. I’ve been saying this for years, Dallas always beat the teams that they’re supposed to beat but never win the games that they need to win. Dak will get you there 3 quarters of the season but he panics and make foolish mistakes when the game is on the line. Quite a few passes he missed that should’ve been receptions. He refuses to use his legs because he doesn’t want to be titled as a quarterback slash runner. I don’t care, as a team leader you supposed to utilize all of your ability to get the job done. I can tell that you’re a true cowboys fan. We just have to roll with the punches and maintain a strong gut

@All About Football they had 14 penalties and the refs didn’t force them to run a QB draw the last play of the game. Loss is ALL on the Cowboys and their coaches.

I agree with you mostly, but there are still problems with the officiating. Not on the offensive side of the ball though. Those false starts and holds were all legit. Also , why you need a run game which helps eliminate false starts and holding. However, I think the Defense has been getting a raw deal for a few years. They do not get holding penalties called at the clip other defenses do.

@Gary Austin they had 7 pre-snap penalties, all of which have to be called. 2 illegal hands to the face, which are always obvious too. Their 2 defensive holdings were also blatant. You can’t be sore about having actual penalties called that are penalties, regardless of your anecdotal evidence that other teams don’t get the call. The refs called a good game, the Cowboys are lazy (see the illegal shift of the WR who couldn’t even run to line up wide) and massively undisciplined, like not realizing the ref ALWAYS spots the ball after a play.

Your right. That part about the “amount of talent” that’s not correct. They have player’s that are well payed, and a few are talented. No one on that team or coaching staff is exceptional. Micah Parsons could be but he’s a rookie.

I didn’t hear hardly anyone say a thing when the Saints beat the Bucs. When The Bucs scored a big fat 0 in that game but the focus is ALWAYS on Dallas!🙄

Prescott is a decent QB but he’s definitely not a Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Montana, Joe Namath, Dan Marino etc.. He just can’t get the job done against a good team. He put up good yards but he falls short in other areas a lot of the time but Dallas choking and losing has a lot to do with the coaching staff starting with Jerry Jones, and the head coach. The 90’s Cowboys and some time before that under coaches like Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson, the Cowboys were the team to beat and watch. This Cowboys team has sooo much talent, it’s no reason why they should be home right now.
