Best season closing game that I’ve witness and arguably the best game of the year! Wish both teams made the playoffs. Give Hebert his raise, he is just INCREDIBLE!

@Shaheed Harun I’m one of the few people not mad at Staley’s time out. Looked like the Raiders were willing to run the clock out, but I think Staley saw something his defense wasn’t prepared for so he called the time out. Problem is after the time out, they gave up a run that gave the Raiders a 1st down and put them in field goal range. If you call a time out to set your defense and your defense doesn’t make the play, that’s bad.
If he hadn’t called time out there and the Raiders run the same play and pick up the same number of yards, they still kick the field goal and beat him.
But you have a point. When a team seems like they are trying to run out the clock and give you a tie that puts you in the playoffs, why would you stop the clock?
@Lance Goulet Easily his dumbest call was going on 4th down on their own deep end.. totally out of frustration, panic, n desperation. It’s arguable if that timeout really hurt them but they should’ve already had the personnel out there knowing the Raiders are running. I think the coach has logical issues cuz going for 2 on their TD before the game tying score made no sense either, they’re lucky they made it. He would’ve been ripped if he failed on that conversion too

As for the 2 point attempt. I agree with you there too.
I understand what Collinsworth said there, though. You want to know if you are going to miss the 2-pointer so you know if you need to score twice. BUT you also want to “extend the game” as long as possible – not put your team down 2 scores when kicking the single keeps you within 8 points!
I agree you should wait and go for 2 later, rather than sooner.
This was insane. A game where two teams…. who only needed a tie…. decided to duke it out until overtime…. where it ALMOST ended in a tie anyway 🤯

The world almost froze .. too bad it didn’t end in a tie.. fucken raiders going aggressive to field goal range instead of takin a knee ..don’t blame the timeout .. raiders was going 4 the win anyway
One of the craziest endings to a season that I can remember. Every game that needed to be crazy was crazy and scenarios that weren’t supposed to happen, did in the wildest ways.
I swear if your team takes Kellen Moore imma be pissed.

A respectable coach worth his coaching abilities would never make a call like that , think about it you. Make it, so what your still on your own 18 , if you don’t you risk a automatic field goal attempt, worse a touchdown, not worth the risk , made no sense at all
As a chargers fan, my only issue with it was the fact we ran the ball. I would’ve called a bootleg. Going for it on 4th down is our identity at this point. I would’ve let herbie make a play.
I also think they should’ve went for 2pt conversion at the end of regulation just like they did in Kansas City in 2018. Herbert was on fire that drive, no reason to believe he wouldn’t win the game.

This was the most playoff regular season game ever. Both teams fought for everything. They didn’t win, but respect for Justin Herbert for playing brilliantly! Those 4th down plays were as clutch as ever. Mike Williams is a beast as well! Amazing game!
Proud to see my Raiders get into the playoffs through everything that has happen. Las Vegas earned it.
Let’s be real. This was one of the greatest season finale days in a long time. Coming from a chiefs fan that man Justin Herbert is a stud and has a whole career ahead of him but also hats off to the raiders for a well deserved playoff spot. Excited for the playoffs!

Game was scripted. And yes by eliminating talented teams like the Colts, Ravens and Chargers , the NFL has wiggle room to easily get the predetermined AFC representative team into the Super Bowl. Clearly the Raiders had NO BUSINESS being in the playoffs. .#NFLisRigged

What a game. When you here someone talk about, “mental toughness”. This Raiders bunch gave the world a new definition of it in football. A mental slugfest the likes we only see in Super Bowls. Herbert’s 4th stats have got to be the best we’ve ever seen as well. Then you throw in the last 19 play drive to send it into overtime. Just incredible effort and mental toughness for both team’s. I’m even more proud to be a AFC west fan now. Patrick and the Kingdom our my dude’s. This game was on a different level it made me cheer for both teams at many points during the game. This rivalry just got reignited. Big time.
The Raiders have had one of the most impressive seasons especially if you consider the context. They lost their coach, had tragedies and distractions just rock their team. They lost a legend in John Madden. Yet despite all that adversity they managed to make the playoffs. They’ve got the most heart of any team in the playoffs
What a jaw-dropping contest! Games like this one is the reason why football is my favorite sport. I enjoyed every minute! Herbert was firing passes with desperate ferocity!

@GoldenMaguire999 It was a close game. The Raiders lost by 1-score. And 1 of the Cincinnati Bengals touchdowns shouldn’t have counted, because of the play being whistled dead before the T.D. So you take that Bengals touchdown off the board, and it’s a very different game. Either way, we made the playoffs. How’d your team do?

I understand what you mean but the reality is that the Chargers are eliminated and that’s really too bad because Herbert can’t be admired in the playoffs. ( I don’t have a fav. team, just fav. players) He’s really special; I’d rather watch him than Rodgers or Brady. And now the Steelers are in the playoffs, not a good team at all! The only elite player on that team is PJ Watt.
