@Devon Nortan they were basically in a rebuilding year anyway. And have 3 first round picks in this year’s draft. That whole one and done idea is dumb anyway. Teams just want to make the playoffs.. so what your saying is Teams shouldn’t even try to make the playoffs if it’s likely they’ll be one and done ?
They’ve won six of their last eight after starting 2-5. And I think it’s because of their defense. Not just their running game. They have been phenomenal since then.
Being a Giants fan is painful. I can’t wait for the announcement of the GM’s firing.
@Kudo no u wouldnt trust me. Lions break ur heart in so many different ways its not even funny. Imagine playing good enough in most games to where it usually comes down to the end of the game for who wins and they just let u down and loose in a different way each time. Like if the lions scored to go up by 2 in the 4th qrtr but theres still 25 secs on clock us lions fans know were about to loose by 1. Or if were down by 7 and we score a td with no time left us lions fans already know were about to miss the extra point and loose by 1. Or if were down by 5 and we have it in the redzone with 20secs left we already know that were about to throw an interception or fumble. Trust me lol

It’s very rare that a Philly sports team actually surpasses expectations. Going into this season, I don’t think any Eagles fans were expecting to be anywhere close to the playoffs. But here we are now. It’s also hilarious that we’re in Year 1 of our rebuild and we’re already better than the Giants who are in around Year 4 of their rebuild.

I was predicting a 4 win season with the hopes of at least being competitive at defeat And now look at those birds, they can really punch in the mouth a big team with this momentum and the best of it is we have three first round picks next year
We legit would’ve been better if our team wasn’t injured so much. When we are healthy we either win or compete with top ten teams man.

The young WR core for Philly is promising. Reminds me of the 04’ birds with TO, Pinkston, and Freddie. Miss that Jim Johnson defense, but next year should be phenomenal if the squad stays healthy.

@Derrick Zellars I know lol Todd stinkson and James trash should have been their real names lol any one who watched this team for years ( I have been since 97 knows we never draft or have good receivers lol. TO for 1 year. We had desean and Maclin but got rid of the both of them. We draft guys like Artega whiteside over DK metcalf and Raegor over Justin Jefferson 😂 🤦♂️. I’m a believer in Raegor and a fan and his potential is huge but no way you take him w Jefferson on the board.
Never thought the Eagles would be this good. Didn’t think the coaching staff would be this good. But happy this team is up to the task. Thanks coach!

Yea specifically the pairing of Gannon and Sirianni has worked fairly well. Both are gurus when playmaking for their side of the ball. I fully expect Gannon to be another one of the younger generation HC if he is able to keep this Philly defense in check for the years to come. It’s still baffles me how ppl are still iffy on hiring younger talent at coaching positions. They show up and win almost every time😂🤣🤣

Good thing football is played with two halves. That first half was brutal for both teams.
The fact that the Eagles are still in the playoff fight, let alone even in contention for the division (although I doubt they win that) is so impressive! They might be that lovable underdog this year!

Exactly bro. Only down side to this season is how hot the dolphins and colts have gotten because we have their 1st round picks. But regardless 3 1st round picks after a “rebuild year” where we win more games than we did last year and are in the playoff run and control our destiny lol As a die hard eagles fan I know they passed my expectations I just wanted to see them get close to 500 and play hard for the new young coaches and see if jalen can prove he’s the guy or not. He has been inconsistent at times but he’s made enough plays and he shakes off bad plays bad quarters and bad half’s impressingly we’ll. As long as the coaching staff continue to build the offense and playbook around his skill set he can lead a super bowl team. Bring in a couple more weapons get some talent on defense we have need LBs for years we need our dline to get younger and we need a playing making DB safety or cb

As a diehard Birds fan, I can tell you the first half was absolutely awful to watch. The second half was amazing. That pick by McLeod really shifted momentum, and then couple that with the touchdown pass to Lane Johnson, it was overall an amazing game. Very satisfied right now.

I felt the same way about the first half. After all that bad play calling, all those dropped passes, the inability to move the football and the Jake Elliott missed field goal, I was thinking the bookies were out to get the Eagles lol.
This is no longer “rebuilding” for the Giants, it’s just bad football that can’t get much worse. You can blame injuries forever, but it’s far worse than that. Just look what the Colts did yesterday with half their starters out, they beat one of the best teams in the league. Good coaches find ways to at least be competitive. These Giants can’t compete with anyone. They suck. It’s the owners fault for hiring such an inexperienced coach. They need to spend some $ and hire a proven coach. They also need to stop giving big contracts to running backs and wide receivers, and start building the oline they should’ve built five years ago.
Giants will be same next year as they are this year, just pitiful. Mara is the worse owner in football and signing Gettleman as GM wasted a whole decade. It will take 2-4 years for the Giants to get rid of all the ridiculous expensive contracts for players like Bradberry, Jackson, Ryan, Galloway, and Rudolph that amounted to nothing. Now Mara brings back a pathetic special teams coach who has learned nothing in his two years here for third one along with Danny Jones.

Remember, the Eagles are sailing the ship with a first-year coach and first-year starting QB. Playing meaningful games after Christmas is already a win. If you think otherwise, another team with a first-year coach and first-year starting QB is *Jacksonville* so it could be way, way worse.
