Tell you what…I like seeing Cam back there as well but as a Cardinals fan I hate that dude! For some reason a panthers team with Cam have always had the Cardinals number.

You act like he wasn’t just playing for Carolina in 2019, lol.

@AJ Grant he helped them be playoff contenders and was their best QB the day he stepped on the field. he, also, won a league MVP when he led them to 15 wins…and it wasn’t just their D that got them there. He really give up his body…everybody forgetting how he was running the ball with Henry-like determination, which helped lead them to the SB. He was beaten up and yeah, he should’ve gotten the surgeries he needed and taken at least a full year off to get completely healthy but the team around him, including the D had continually gotten less productive, leading Cam to believe he had to almost literally be Superman. The only other greatness they really had on the team was McCaffrey. Now, with a hopefully healthy Cam and McCaffrey and the renewed invigoration, and the whole team starting to feel excited and capable, maybe…just maybe they get to the playoffs again this year, have a good free agency and draft class in the off year and come back as a real threat next year…just maybe, and hopefully.

@ltravail it was a “he looked good enough” type deal. He’s not playing bad for a rook. Probably about what they expected out of him so far and assuming he’s gonna get better with time. With a second year under that system and people who can actually get separation and catch, I think Cam would have NE sitting at a better record by at least a game. If Cam actually starts next week, it’ll probably be run/read option heavy with about 15 pass plays unless they get behind which I think gives them a better chance to win than PJ. But I agree, I don’t want them to rush him back before he’s ready to be competitive. For his sake. Definitely his last chance to stay in the league, I didn’t think he’d get this one.

@Jeremy Thomas no, cam isn’t a good fit in NE. Jones is a great fit, a great defense, nice running game and ST. Jones is a pocket guy, like Bill and Josh are best with, he doesn’t make many mistakes which keeps downs manageable, 2nd and 4-5, 3rd 2-3, and has an extremely high completion percentage, maybe the highest. Yeah, he doesn’t take a ton of shots downfield but he’s a rookie and those things will come in time but for right now, he is doing everything asked of him…and he’s doing it exceptionally well. I think he’s better for NE than Cam and it’s not even close. That said, I’m excited to see Cam back in Carolina and with a healthy McCaffrey, they could make the playoffs because there is an excitement there with the two of them on the field at the same time that hasn’t been there for a few years now.

@Jeremy Thomas It would of been interesting to see what Cam would have done in NE this year. Last year was so messed up it shouldn’t even count. Half of NE’s starters opted out last year, to boot. Mac Jones is alright for a rookie. They don’t ask him to do much. So he ends up looking better than he might really be. I’m not ready to join the pundits all calling him the Brady 2.0. That’s ridiculous. Right now, he’s serviceable at most. But I agree with you. Hopefully Cam will be put in a position to succeed at Carolina rather than in a position to fail. Neither he nor the Panthers can afford him to fail.

yeah, Cam and Caff can go a long way to pulling this team together leading by example on and off the field; having a positive, winning mentality, during practice, great play on the field, leadership in the huddle and the locker room.

I believe that they’re going to run a 2 QB system for the rest of this season while Cam will simultaneously be studying the play book 📖 in preparation for being their starter officially next season…
