Hangin’ with the Boys : No Rebuild, But a Reload? | Dallas Cowboys 2022

Are all these moves being done to put the Cowboys in a better position for 2023? What does that mean for McCarthy, Moore and Prescott in 2022? Plus, who’s ready to step up and be the No. 1 receiver, should the offensive line still be the focus and could Bobby Wagner be coming to Dallas?

Jerry Piguet

Dallas has to get a receiver in draft or free agency to help cee dee lamb until Gallup heals, but yes we need an offensive line!!!!!

    King Magnus

    Exactly

Jerry Piguet

Coaching Coaching is the key. Nate speaks true honest stuff!!

“Tetering on the gouch line” 😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂😖

Portcity 85

With the salary cap teams are forced to rebuild every single year

Brian Rolle

Y’all on point! MM should make sure he gets fired to get all of his money! Y’all got it down packed wow

William Hopkins

Rush? This staff? Just hope Gallup come back off pup on time. Look for him week 7

Bailey Gordon

Sure does seem like a conversation has been had with Sean Payton. Seems like Sean wants to relax and just watch how Dak plays this year. Don’t really know but one thing I do know, with these cap clearing moves the pressure has squarly landed on Dak and the coaches. Also, the oline and linebacker holes need to be shored up. Our biggest problems last season.

    Jay Cee

Is that what he’s doing? Watching Dak? Not just taking off for the season? Dumbsh*t

Deathevokation

I listen to Jesse defeatist attitude, and I think of the 1977 Cowboys loaded with youngsters. McCarthy already putting together the team Jesse wants Payton to build. We already got a coach with great pedigree, Jesse, his name is Coach McCarthy.

    BenTramer

    McCarthy is a joke.

Boopooh43

This is looking like “addition by subtraction” for next season. We might be lucky if we win NFC East.

    Richard Harrison

I doubt we win the division

Deezboyz Justwin

Ceedee is the weakest 88 that I can remember he is not aggressive like none I can remember and all was #1s and demanded best corner plus safety help

It amazing irony….he talks about the plan and how that is affecting the Jones but as a supervisor I would ask him to just think how much of the passion you brought was because the plan you had for Amari played out as you suspected but disagreed it should happen. Two things I learned no matter the level I always found there was always more information. And if I see someone who displays a pattern no matter how logical the situation maybe it is that old saying ” I take me wherever I go” Is that not what Oakland said happened Amari seemed to lose interest. Maybe he is at his best when it is new…but as the job becomes a job an everyday grind sometimes the tortoise catches the hare. We call it the Phoenix syndrome…strong start and ….just my thought. I know nothing about football but to listen but I will say from a fan standpoint he did look to disappear from games at times. In the end we are all just guessing so let’s give the Jones a change to grow. At least they are open to change when they see it. That was not always the case.

Ray Ban

Agree with Jesse….why TF did Kellen (or Dak) not get the ball to Amari more because he WAS usually open and he didn’t drop many passes. I think this ‘boy genius’ thing has gone to Kellen’s head and he outsmarts himself with his dumb play calling.

abadi jaya

Qb 1 and rb 1 has to proof what they worth 😀

Reginald Johnson

Funny how mclay continues to gets praised for great players but the joneses, Mccarthy, and Garrett for failed players.

Reginald Johnson

Who is to say our current backups can’t ball out? Those backup receivers all can play. The new d linemen look promising.

This specific show is my favorite thing about the Cowboys, right about now. There’s no justification for retaining a $27 mil guaranteed guy and trading a Top 10 WR1 who had ONLY 2 mil in guarantees due in 2022. None!!
If they could make it work with 27 mil guaranteed, it could’ve worked with 2 mil guaranteed for the most complete WR1 we’ve had since T.O. & Michael. Troy & Tony used their WR1’s religiously, but we all witnessed Cooper suddenly being ignored the 2nd half of the season. Explain how we got better keeping D-Law and trading away a 27yr old top 10 WR in a passing league? For Anyone who thinks Cooper is outside the top 3rd of WR1’s, I can only offer his stats as our #1 option: 7th in receptions; 9th in yardage; 7th in TD’s. Consider this: On the season, Amari had 3 total drops, while CeeDee had that in just 1 NYG game while being among the league leaders in drops for a 2nd straight year in his 2 year career. Welcome to offensive mediocrity. No defense fears a CeeDee/Gallup combo, so we now depend on what? Zeke behind a below average Center with no LG since the end of Zeke’s rookie year? Should we bank on Dak being elite level Dak when he was merely average-at-best before Cooper? We saw the exact same Dak when protocols FORCED Amari to miss 2 games instead of 1 game because he chose to not accept poisoning. He was determined to get the ball to CeeDee, which only got him concussed on a bad throw. Dak looked exactly like post-Dez/pre-Amari Dak; struggling to force something unavailable. Well, guys, we have CeeDee & an unhealthy Gallup that no DC has to respect. Zeke, Tony, and Dak can prepare for a savage beating in 2022, with or without is drafting a true LG to play LG…and we’re shopping Collins who should’ve NEVER been moved FROM LG for the 2017 season. If we luck up AGAIN and get a Top 3 WR in the draft, CeeDee isn’t making that guys transition easy because CeeDee can’t dictate coverages. Cooper did that. That’s no knock on CeeDee, just honesty. The wisdom of a true football guy dictates we work it out with Cooper to ensure teams MUST prepare to defense Cooper/Lamb, rather than Lamb/Gallup. There’s a hierarchy to this thing, man. I don’t remember Michael being traded so Harper could be WR1. Why? Because Harper ate, but Michael set the table aka dictated coverage. Look at how trash Pittsburgh’s become without AB? Unlike AB, Cooper wasn’t a problem, distraction, or disruption. No police issues, no stripper issues, and he made plays (when fed the football). If Dak felt insulted by the alleged “Black Kirk Cousins” comment, maybe he’s not the tough-minded leader we are led to believe he is. We lost a playoff game forcing it to everyone but Amari, who still averaged a 1st & 10 with 6rec for 64yrds + a 20yrd TD. Lamb, if I remember correctly had 1 catch on 10 targets. WTF are we doing?!!? It looks like Jerry & Stephen want a high 1st rounder in 2023, to me. Nothing about this makes any good business sense.

Demetrius Green

Thank you, Nate…The quarterback and offensive coordinator hasn’t been giving the receivers enough targets..that’s not the receiver’s fault..that’s really on the quarterback!!!

BOOOTNEYFUNZWORTH69

Nate speaking pure facts if we don’t fix this offensive line and run the ball were not going nowhere.

Don Washington

This was delusional. We are very likely to end up in the Garret pattern. Great last place schedule. Terrible 1st place schedule. If we are lucky we will be a 10 win team this year if everything goes right. Not rebuild… reload… more like Same as it ever was.

Mitch Monteith

So who are we this year, The Giants. I love Nate, I’m an old goober but Nate would be fun to have a cup of coffee with sometime. Great as a player and great today.
