Hangin’ with the Boys: Is This Change Needed? | Dallas Cowboys 2021

We all know there are changes coming to this team and this coaching staff, but why aren't we hearing more about this particular one? Just like Sisyphus pushing that rock in Greek mythology, when is this story going to end differently for Cowboys fans?

Jimmy Fly Hookem

Nate was spot on with his analysis

    Terry Gist

    Agreed

    Bruce Hammonds

We all love Nate Newton but what he is seeing with this team is not reality the Oline is horrible and the D line is still light in the azz and cannot move anyone.

    Jimmy Fly Hookem

Nate has played, and in the beginning of the video he talked about scheme blocking to make up for the deficiencies in the line. Pretty much what the 49ers did to us. Also mentioned the head coach as the person getting paid to ensure discipline issues that cause penalties are corrected. Can we use some upgrades? Hell yeah! However it’s a coaches job to put the players in the best situation to win. Our coaches did not do that. The one thing people need to talk about is Daks decision making and inconsistent accuracy issues.

Cedric Taylor

Nate hit it on point big time today. Our offense was two one sided the second half of the season and Defenses caught wind of it

ROBERT BLACKWELL

We did not put our stars in a position to win. Kellen is still using Jason Garrett and Scott Linehan stuff get rid of that scheme. Offense needs some pre snap movements also the best preforming player needs to be on the field. Steele should have been on the field in the running game. Head Coach should have final call or over rule play calling.

    Timothy Henderson

This is what I said. The offense is the same as it was under Garrett and it yielded the same results. A change on offense may do wonders, just like the change on defense.

godsdozer

If we would not have had all of those takeaways this year, we might have been 8-9 or 7-10

    JAHII

    Or 4-13!

Steve Sims

Thanks Nate for shutting up Jesse. Jesse make good comments on occasion but he just won’t stop talking after he makes the point he will go on and on and on.

jacob lavers

Nate killed it, they MAIN culprit in this game was KELLEN MOORE !!!! Please go to Denver or Minnesota. Kick rocks

    Twisted Mentat

Yes, please drop Kellen Moore so I can support the team he moves to. I grow tire of you fickle Dallas Cowboy “fanbase.” Y’all deserve the vitriol and disappointment.

    jacob lavers

@Twisted Mentat so you’re a Kellen Moore fan and not a Cowboys fan then ? How do you have the audacity to call Cowboys fans fickle after their EMBARRASSING loss in the first round of the playoffs AT HOME, & healthy and the MAIN culprit was the offense, and who was the offensive coordinator? KELLEN MOORE. There’s plenty of analyst out there that a NOT Cowboys fans and they said the same thing, Kellen Moore did not get the offense in a position to succeed and the same thing happened against any defense that played Dallas tough. So please, support Kellen, and goes where he goes. 👋 bye

    Twisted Mentat

@jacob lavers That’s right. I am BSU fan first. How was that Cowboys offense before Kellen Moore took over as OC? How was Dak’s QB play before he got instruction from Moore? Yeah, you’re fickle with a short-term memory. I say I hope Kellen Moore leaves so you can be reeducated on how awful the Cowboy’s offense was before he arrived. Time and separation will tell who is right but my money is on Kellen Moore over the Dallas Cowboy’s fickle fanbase.

    jacob lavers

@Twisted Mentat that’s great for you, I’m aware of how beloved Kellen Moore is in BSU. My memory is perfectly fine, thank you, I’ve followed this team EXTREMELY close for the the last 15 seasons but have been a fan since I was 7 years old. I travel all across America for games, I attended every training camp (minus Covid year). Before Kellen Moore the offense was still putting up good numbers with Tony Romo, Murray, Dez Bryant, Witten etc. but the defense usually let the team down. Now this year, the offense puts up good numbers mostly against bad teams (minus Patriots early in the season). But when the team needed the offense against Kansas City, Arizona San Fran. Games where the defense did it’s part, it was the offense that completely let the team down. Everyone knows Dallas offense does best when it runs the ball, and let Dak do play action, and keep his attempts low. Kellen completely abandoned the run when the team needed it most, not to mention do not scheme to get his playmakers (Pollard, Ceedee, Cooper) the ball. And Kellen flat out admits he refuses to change saying “I’m not going scheme to force balls to players, whosever open. Gets the ball”. What’s the primary commonality in the teams still in the playoffs ? They ALL make sure to get the ball in the hands of their primary players. Kelce, Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Tyreek Hill, Jamar Chase, Cooper Kupp etc. they’re a primary focus of the offense. So please, call me or whoever fickle, the tape doesn’t lie, and the tape shoes Kellens scheme has failed this team against quality defenses nearly every time even with the defense giving them plenty of opportunities.

    Twisted Mentat

@jacob lavers I think we both can agree the Dallas Cowboys don’t deserve Kellen Moore as their OC. So let’s part ways and be happy.

Gary Robin

Nate is totally right!

Slayer 717

Nate you’re right man! Tell all these chumps sitting in that room & the locker room that don’t know what it feels like to wear a SB ring how it supposed to be.

Ray Gaub

Nate is right. We’ve been abandoning the run game for a decade. First Garrett and now Moore. Hope for Kellen to get hired away and Quinn to get interviewed but stay.

    JAHII

We need to hire an OC who has a history of running a balanced Offense!

    Mike G

Becuz Kellen Moore is of the Jason Garrett coaching tree. He was trained by Garrett and Linehan. The Apple doesn’t fall to far from the tree

    Twisted Mentat

I can’t wait. I hope you get what you want and Moore leaves so I can stop pretending to like the Cowboys.

Portcity 85

We could have won this game if Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore would’ve had a better offensive schemed game plan witch they didn’t.

Dan Lazaro

When the group is talking about how you can help your offensive line, the group should shut up when Mr. Nate Newton is speaking. No questioning, no doubts, just listen.

    JAHII

    Agree 💯

Patrick Owens

Thank you Nate for being transparent. Everybody seen what was happening. The penalties are from not able to do the job the OC is asking them to do. Everything cant be as hard as Kellen made it.

ArnoEsco

To make Dak good again to make the receivers good to make the defense even better is to have a bully offensive line and play smash mouth football! Gotta make it happen nxt season.

Lulfukus Lilfidde

Preach Nate !!! Hitting that nail right on the head, now if the people that call the shots could figure it out !!

Ernesto Sánchez

honestly Kellen Moore has to go I mean they need Dak to keep growing and I think a change of OC would be great for him

Arlington Cooke

We had 59 plays!! Called 43 pass plays, only ran 16 times! 11 of our wins, we ran more than we passed!

Gary Robin

We gotta work on that offensive line!

ghanjahman

Zack is smart, tough and reliable so he’s perfect for center, LC already played at left guard, Tyron’s stingers are gone just needs bone spur clean up, McGovern proved he can play well at right guard with Biadiaz at center and Steele at right tackle so he’ll be better at it with Zack to his left and an improving Steele at right tackle who also proved he can play well there. Just saying…

thatguy

Dallas’s best case scenario(s) if Quinn leaves is to hire Zimmer or Fangio. Dak has regressed with his decision making. We need a better QB coach to work with him. Moore should be gone.

    JayMV

We had that guy in Jon Kitna, the one year he was QB coach is when Dak made his biggest jump. Then of course they let him go in favor of Kellen Moore 🤦🏾‍♂️

FrankO'Del

The bottom line is our Cowboys choked under pressure with the penalties and Kellen Moore not calling plays to exploit what the defense was giving them. Dak needed better protection bc he can make the throws if he has time.
