Russell Wilson Press Conference After Being Named Starting Quarterback | August 26, 2012

Happy anniversary to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who was officially named the starting QB for week one of the season on this date nine years ago, August 26, 2012.

Russell, a third-round pick (No. 75 overall), entered camp in a three-way competition for the starting position with Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson, but earned the nod after impressing coaches on and off the field.
