You don’t pay a man who had a season ending injury and we haven’t seen him perform since the injury. This is why he wants to be paid now, he wants to be paid off his previous play not how he can play after sustaining a neck injury.
@Space Ghost @JayMurtz I get all that and it’s a risk but the fact is that without him this team can’t compete with the best teams in the league. Sometimes ya gotta go for it.
@Theo Freier extremely stupid business move if they give this guy a new contract without proof of health. If you have known anybody with this type of injury in which I know to people. It’s very hard to return to a normal life let alone playing in the NFL. I believe since day one his career is over
@Tbass2323 it would also be a very stupid business move to go through all the work they did this offseason to revamp the roster just to not sign their top tier pass rusher and have the worst pass rush in the league.

We should consider a WR3/DB in FA, Pass heavy in Shotgun with more recievers so Kirk Cousins can release the ball faster and Dalvin Cook can rest instead of being the workhorse…And more DBs cause the front line looks solid💪and if we can lock-down the pass game that will eliminate half the league from scoring on us including more turnovers🔄

For all of you viking fans who want a new contract for Hunter. If you know anybody who has had that type of injury. I have known two people. It’s not at all a guaranteed to return to a normal life let alone playing in the NFL. Very bad business if the Vikings give him a new contract without proof he can play again. I have said since day one because I know of this type of injury that his career is probably over. He’ll never be the player he used to be. Unfortunate but true

They can give him a lucrative 5 year contract with no money guaranteed. Injury clauses exist, and that’s all up to the Vikings front office. He’s been working out for months and if he demands a trade I believe it’s because he’s not healthy.

If the Vikings can utilize their money to improve the team and potentially make us a Superbowl contender and Daniel Hunter wants to absorb the CAP by getting payed, then forget him😤 Everyone is involved in this Gridiron Sport and can possibly get injured, Minnesota doesn’t need his me first mentality holding us back…
