Top 5 QBs Entering 2021

@Seth Benson Golladay and Jones were both on the Lions when Stafford was on the Lions🤦‍♂️, do you not have the common sense to see that? Stafford never played with Cephus as his number one. And Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp aren’t even close to one of the best duos in the league, and aren’t good fits under a QB like Stafford. Golladay and Jones are a better duo than Woods and Kupp.

The Lions had a better O line than the Rams. The Lions had an elite tackle in Taylor Decker and an elite center in Frank Ragnow. The Rams only have Andrew Whitworth and Rob Havenstein, who aren’t as good as Decker and Ragnow. Stafford also had Graham Glasgow in 2019, who was an above average interior guy. Meanwhile, the Rams had a terrible O line in 2019, where Havenstein was one of the worst tackles in the league.

@New York Bandwagon how did the lions have a better o line than the rams if you look at the stats from 2020 season. 42 total sacks for the lions in 2020 and the rams gave up 25 total sacks, cooper kup and robert woods are great wrs, better than quintez chepus and tyrell williams, you are right on te tj is better than tyler higbee. but cam akers the rams rb is better than swift who stafford couldnt really depend on all the time.

@john cena sacks allowed is a terrible stat to evaluate lineman. The receivers on the Rams (Woods and Kupp) are all slot type WRs who get most of their yards after the catch. Their routes aren’t as long as Golladay and Jones’ are, and take way less time to develop. That explains why Stafford got sacked more. I also think that Goff is more mobile than Stafford is.

I already mentioned that I’m talking about 2019-20, not heading into 2021. Stop bringing up Cephus and Williams because they barely played. And Swift was drafted ahead of Akers for a reason, and was more efficient last year. Swift is also a much better receiver than Akers is.

stafford is 100% a top 10 qb and a 50% top 5 qb not being biased but he is way better than dak or any other qb

this list is pretty good stafford was great on the lions hes been through about 5 new schemes got used to the play book and everything in one offseason i think he can go through it one more time.

Stafford in Detroit played with limited receiving talent and did pretty well. Now you have Kupp, Woods, DeSean, and TuTu, all good receivers. He would have a field day.

@Neil Murray bro Brady is the best gm in the league and there is no disputing his greatness, but his stats were almost equal to that of Wilson’s in a more stacked roster. It’s somewhat hypocritical to have Brady as 1 and Wilson not even on the list

@MuFFinsRGoaTeD Brady has been extremely good this year, like mvp level good that’s with learning a new offense and some wr injuries, also his stats this year are worse than they should have been due to 11 dropped TD’s including the playoffs, he also had the LOWEST turnover worthy play percentage this season better than Rodgers even, turnover worthy play is a better stat than interceptions because qb can throw a perfect pass and it can bounce from wr’s hands to hands of the db and qb gets the blame, also in the regular season he had fewest dropped picks, so he was very unlucky in the turnovers department considering how careful he was and imagine this he had the highest average depth of target this year in the entire league, so he pushed the ball DEEPEST, made the FEWEST mistakes, his passer rating should be above 115 for this year but his stats are deceiving as I have explained.
This year his worst games were in primetime and they also played great defenses which may have cause a warped perception of how good he was the entire year,
Also PFF (pro football focus) is a great website that grades individual players buy their performance, not by their stats, for an example imagine a qb throws a screen pass and wr takes it to the house, in the stat sheet that is a lets say 50 yard TD, so now imagine if a qb throws a perfect deep ball and wr drops it, one play in the stats goes as a 50 yard td, one goes as an incompletion, what play was more impressive by the qb? that’s why I like pff it looks at game film and separates everyone’s performance.
Brady this year was the 2nd best qb by pff right behind MVP Aaron Rodgers, so at 43 he was better that Mahomes, Wilson, Watson, Allen … and all that in a new offense in a pandemic year, I mean that is unbelievable

This was a Top 5 QBs list, if it was Top 5 team or career I could see him being a sure shot. But for the upcoming season you don’t have to automatically add anyone in except Mahomes & Allen.

Guys like Brady that did it for 20 years and is still doing it an elite level, time is obviously going against him in terms of age, but more time and a full year to prepare in the same offense should also mean better performance
Rodgers also if he stays in Green Bay he had his best season in terms of pff grade last year
Russ is a bit inconsistent and is getting a new OC but he still surely top 5

True, but I add him because he’s younger so more likely to have a prime year than much older QBs. And he’s trending in the right direction while being a Top 3 most skilled QB in the league from a physical standpoint while learning as much as he can from a mental/experience level. Since 2021 season didn’t happen yet it’s mostly projection but I feel like him and Mahomes are surefire based on their skill and situation.

@VINCENZO Watson over Wilson, and as a Chiefs fan I think Mahomes should go over Aaron so you can just take that as a bias. Also I don’t know about Brady being in the top 5. He put up a good season with the Super Bowl run, and the playoffs were great, but that first half of the season wasn’t anything special. The thing is….I don’t know who else should go #5 then. Russ had a bad last half, and a lot of ints, Brady’s first half wasn’t that great, Herbert is getting an OL now right after the best rookie QB season ever, Lamar is getting an improved WR core, Stafford is getting a different organization, and if Dak plays as good as he was before the injury then he may have a better season than everyone. The #5 spot is just so questionable. So I would go-
Mahomes
Rodgers
Watson (or Allen)
Allen
And the 5th is up for grabs

Mike Rob’s had some questionable Russ takes recently and was among those who publicly spoke out against Russ during the off-season drama. Russ is unquestionably great and Mike is way off here, but Russ was a polarising figure back when Mike was in the team.
