How big a leap can Drew Lock make for the Broncos in 2021? | Broncos Country Tonight – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

Hopefully a HUGE one. That’s pretty much all we can ask for. His 2nd season was much worse than his first. He finally has the same coaches on every level from last year.. He has the weapons, should have a good run game and top 10 D. The dude just needs to show what he does on occasion but EVERY game. And he can’t be the reason we lose.

    i think he’s got it

Agreed, and the optimist would say that people overlook QBs who make big strides all of the time. It wasn’t just Allen last year. The most recent example was Baker Mayfield. Good rookie season, but terrible year 2, though still flashes of brilliance. Year 3? They are in the playoffs, and he looked great and wasn’t turning the ball over, either. Drew Lock 2020 was dead even with Baker Year 2
Can he be Baker year 3 in 2021? Lock needs to put together a good year now, though. I wonder what would have happened of Sutton didn’t go down and Jeudy had like 5 drops instead of 17 last year. If Jeudy doesn’t drop the 17 balls that hit him in the hands last year, Lock’s completion percentage goes from 57% to 62% . I can’t believe Jeudy will do that this year. He is too good.

Naw john new. He set it up.

Lock is dope hope he takes a giant leap forward

Aaron Rogers. If not we’ll have the same ol story but this time it’ll just be a wasted season with a super great defense

Shawn Edmond

A newborn giraffe that was too funny

Love Dogs

Hope everyone on the Broncos roster and staff have a great year

Jason

Keep Lock, don’t wager 3-4 years on Rodgers! Its about sustaining a winning culture, not for just two…maybe 3 years. Lock has been at the Facility daily,, working with the Sheriff Peyton….Go Broncos!!

    munny moore

We haven’t sustained a winning culture since 2015. Rodgers would get us there instantly like Brady did for the Bucs.

I get that you like Lock but why deny Rodgers?

    Ayden Xavier

@munny moore My answer to the ? you asked Jason- Because of the past 5 years. Let’s say Rodgers gets the Broncos 1 Super Bowl. What happens when he’s done and gone??? A culture that gets the team consistently to the playoffs, that’s what *Jason* is getting at.

Drew Lock is like Jordan Spieth. He *needs* his weird, confident swag…and a hot start. I personally have *zero* issues with Lock playing so aggressively bad the 2nd half of 2020. Secured a top 10 pick. No matter how fantastic he played, the Broncos weren’t making the playoffs. Dustin Justin doesn’t lay-up on a Par 5 when he’s already 10 over. 🤔

    Gorgan

And how is Lock part of a winning culture? He doesn’t win, he hasn’t not been injured during a season in the league and he is currently bin the bottom percentile of QBs in the league. What about him says he’s part of a winning culture again? He studied 1 off season with Peyton? That’s great then he should have no issue beating out Teddy Bridgewater like it shouldn’t even be close.

How’s Albright know? I heard they played golf, poker went to the Kings of Leon concert afterward.

    Maxwell Robbins

    Because he’s an NFL insider

Jason

Also our O-line got better, stoked we got rid of Juwan James!

    Ethan Zogorski

    Me too

    EJ Mastoloni

Kinda a bummer we never got any play out of him for a all the cap though

Justin Lawley

Hopefully he takes that jump this year or it’s a new look team next year

D huynh

If they bumped with each other on the 18th hole, that mean Rodgers was playing behind Elway for 18 holes… QAaron

    Zack Goodsell

No that means Rodgers was going to 1 when Elway was finishing 18

To quote the great Rugby League supercoach Jack Gibson.
“I don’t believe in potential, if the kid has so much potential, why isn’t he showing it?”

    Charles Stewart

    the panthers game?

    touchstar68

    @Charles Stewart The Carolina Panthers?
    The 5-11 Carolina Panthers?
    The Teddy Bridgewater Carolina Panthers?

    Alex

and that’s exactly why so many coaches fail at being a GM

The reason you don’t see QB’s improve a lot when they start out this way is because they don’t continue to give them a chance. They dump them immediately and replace. I think this is a nonsense way to develop players. When you draft a QB in later rounds and label them “developmental” then you have to be willing to DEVELOP them. I truly hope they give Lock a chance to develop. I’m a big fan of Rodgers but I’m more interested in trying to draft and develop rather than buying a title.

Just about the only reasonable Broncos news channel. Thanks for quality content

I love the idea of having Rodgers and crushing the league but I hate how much it’s going to cost … statement of the obvious. We just have to trust Paton will get that balance right. But I really hope his bias is to underpay and keep his final walk away offer on the cheap side. Rodgers aside, a lot of factors can help Drew this year – familiarity with the system, a mature experienced partner in Teddy, a favourable schedule, an improved backfield.

We need a run game
