I liked the Larry Borom pick almost right away! Another Big Tough guy with a mean machine attitude also seems like a humble young man. Both Jenkins and Borom is real refreshing and I’m excited to see change of culture in the OL room. I’m glad to have him 👍💪

@Apple 9089 yes I agree there is some concern with having a young O-line but they are immensely talented so let’s hope that in practice our excellent DL can catapult their development and make them Great sooner rather than later 🙏

I want borom at RT and ifedi at guard
Eventually, maybe, but I don’t see the Bears starting the year with Borom starting at RT.
We already have Daniels and Whitehair at guard, RT will either be ifedi or Borom, with the other one being a backup tackle/guard
Ifeldi for 2021 RT, Rookie competes, but we have him for few years.
I want to see jenkins at right tackle and borom at rt guard. I pray the bears go and get somebody who’s already played left tackle in the nfl. No. 1 because I hate when teams play young guys out of position who we’re suoerstsr at the position they play. Thinking they will be a superstar at the new position. It doesn’t work that way and the kid usually ends up sucking and having his confidence destroyed forever in the nfl. Don’t want jenkins starting at left tackle. That’s just putting to much pressure on a rookie. We need some one who already is a stud at left tackle. Gotta go trade for one.

OK So WHY did he fall down so far in the draft? Too fat?
It was a deep OT class many OTs fell way beyond their value. Hell Teven Jenkins was a first round OT and fell all the way to 39 because teams knew the OT class was so deep. And guys fall all the time and end up producing way past their the round they’re drafted in.
@Reecefresh_gets actually you make a good point. This yrs qb class was deep as well which played a roll in why fields dropped so far. It’s rare you have 5qb picked in the first rd. Extremely rare that you have for picked in the top 10. (Fields picked one pick below that of course.). In most yrs, fields is the no.2 pick. He still should have been this yr. Although I think fields is easily the best qb in the draft. I never had lawrence at no 1. I know all the so called experts did , but thankfully I’m not one of them. They get it wrong about players and teams to often and I love the fact that I get it right.
How many O linemen were drafted before this guy I wonder? All too often we see great tape like this but then NFL rushers blow right around them like they aren’t even there. Bobby Massie and Gabe Carimi probably had great college tape too. Can he block Hicks or Mack in practice? We will see.

He will need a year to get stronger. I read that his bench press at his pro day was LOL bad. He has starter potential though.
