Yea I guess pre draft Nagy called Justin fields and told him a play in the book, then he called Justin back and he remembered the play perfectly, Mitch could never do that and they would have to sit with him for hours to explain a new play.
Remember that Nagy picked Fields. Nagy had nothing to do with Mitch.
A lot of casuals out here saying he didn’t look happy to be a Bear. That’s just wrong. Fields is calm and collected in and out the field during his time in Ohio. That’s what Chicago needs.

@Peter Bruno for what we got, he didn’t trade a lot of assets. I mean we got what could potentially be our franchise QB and a tackle that should of went to the first round. With how these picks went, we basically only lost a 1st for next year and a third and some late round picks
@Peter Bruno really not a TON of assets. Essentially 4 pics in total. For 2 players. If we are good this yr. Which we should be since we solid last yr with Mitch. That 1dt rounder for fields won’t be worth much anyway
@Brian Keenan I agree that the trades he made were good and absolutely necessary. Pace did his job this draft. My problem is that he fails to do his job more than he succeeds. He had a good draft but he is still a bad GM in my opinion.
I see them both here at least two more years. Pace picking Trubisky is his only real major miss, other than that he’s always drafted pretty well. As for Nagy, I always felt Trubiskys low ceiling held back the offense, not Nagys system..a system that’s wide open now with Fields.
@Drum Beater 72 I don’t see Pace drafting Trubisky as a mistake. Alot of people had him as the best qb of his class. Trading up to draft him was a big mistake though. Signing Robert Quinn to a huge contract, trading for Foles, Signing Andy Dalton and subsequently loosing Kyle Fuller, and ignoring the offensive line are, in my opinion, his biggest mistakes along with routinely getting fleeced in trades. Before this year’s draft he was an F. He is maybe up to a C- and that is being generous.
Nagy is a different story. He has made some questionable calls but he has been successful. I want to see what happens with him as coach and Fields as qb. I think they should keep him for 3 years to see what he can do with Fields.

I’m worried about the secondary. Loosing Fuller really hurt and the free agents Pace signed are very exploitable. Hopefully Jackson returns to form.
We need Fields to be a superstar. If he realizes his full potential, the Bears are contenders. All college players have to elevate thier game to succeed in the NFL. I love his confidence and I can’t wait to see him play.

Fields wasnt pissed he was a Bear I think he was pissed 3 QBs went before him. Remember he outplayed Lawrence in college and in highschool so he believes he’s better than these guys. Well, the good news is he gets to show them as a bear. BEAR DOWN 🐻🐻🔥🔥

Justins style of play matches Nagys style of coaching. No more having to adjust the playbook to accommodate to Trubisky’s skill set. Time will tell if they have success but I feel good about this kid.
