It was nice, … because he’s working with Nick & his coaching staff .. NOT … Doug & his coaching staff.
All the hate towards Howie is based entirely on his drafting the last 5 seasons … where he, the GM, is doing his job of working with the HC & his coaches to build the roster.
Doug was involve in all the drafts since 2016, and especially with the stupid decision to trade up to get Wentz at #2 … when he would have still be on the board at #8. Doug wanted Wentz … and …Metcalf & Reagor. Doug however did not want Jalen Hurts … because Jeffrey Lurie gave Howie permission to draft a future franchise QB .. as he planned to fire Doug & trade Wentz in 2021 .. and hire Lincoln Reilly as the new HC.

I think Jeremiah Owusu’ s ability to cover would be more beneficial than just getting a cb. Dude is a hybrid and we all know what happens in this league when you have to rely on LBs like Gerry and the sort.

Should of taken Micah parsons and went for a wr Early in the second. The drop off of talent after parsons is steep at that position. Would of much rather them take parsons and go for a good wr in the second round as many are still available. Decent to good pick nonetheless with smith though.

Man I hate to say this but howie got an A offseason I my book, cleared cap, got good solid cheap players, got future draft capital (potentially 2 extra firsts) and the guy most of us wanted in devonta. Bravo couldn’t be happier. Well done howie
