Let me say it again Bucky and Dane really breaks this thang down

Jimmy Greer

I feel like there really isn’t a Doomsday scenario. Dallas is gonna get SOMEONE good. Seems like the consensus is that Dallas will have their choice of the top 2 OT and top 2 CB. Jeff Cavanaugh was right on a GBag video yesterday. Dallas has like 5 guys they would be extremely happy with. Pitts, Sewel, Slater, Surtain & Horn….and I feel like their board should be exactly that. And if everyone is somehow off the board that just means there’s a QB on there that a team will pay through the nose to come up & get.

Pitts – Doubtful that he falls to 10 but I have seen crazier things before on Draft Day. And if he’s there you absolutely snatch him up. He will be your Gallup replacement (the deep ball guy who can also work the middle) because Gallup is gonna try to be a WR1 with WR1 money somewhere. And he may even help replace Amari sooner than later since it’d doubtful Amari lives out his contract here.

Sewell – I don’t think he falls to 10 either but is more likely than Pitts will. And he’ll be your immediate LG and eventual LT for a long, long time. He’s like Tyron 2.0. Just so very young & with a ton of potential. So he’ll probably need a year or two before he’s ready to be like a Top 10 NFL’s Top 100 type of LT. In the meantime, let him get a taste of the NFL from the guard spot.

Slater – Seems very likely that he could fall to 10. And if that happens I feel like he become the next Zach Martin. He could be a solid OT maybe even a really good one. But seems like he could be a GREAT left guard. I would absolutely love to see at least 13 games of Tyron, Slater, Biadaz, Martin & Collins. If Dallas could get 13+ games with those guys you might hear talk about the Cowboys OL being elite again.

Surtain – Feel almost certain that Surtain will be there at 10. And he’ll be a very solid & smart choice. To me, he’s not as exciting as the other 3 guys. But he’s absolutely a need position & should fill it just fine. Doubt that he’s a lockdown guy but he should be better than most. And who knows, maybe with a little luck later in the draft he will be a piece that helps the defense improve drastically from last year.

Horn – Absolutely should be there at 10. And can basically copy & paste Surtain’s report and use it here. I do worry that he’s a little too grabby. So there will be a few more 4th downs turned to 1st downs by illegal contact with him than last year. But with him you hope you get a few more INTs and many more incompletions than you got from Chido & the others last year.

But the reason I’m so pro-offense at 10 is just because I believe we can find some real good defensive talent in the 2nd & 3rd rounds. So I don’t mind missing out on a Top 10 CB when there’s a possibility a really good CB (even Caleb Farley who many thought was CB1 in this draft) is there in the 2nd round.

But I get it. Many would prefer to get the CB early so we can get a nice looking safety in Round 2 and maybe a promising DT & LB in the 3rd. That would put the defense ahead of schedule from the mess it’s been the last 2 years. I just would like to get Dak some more tools since he’s the bossman now. For better or worse, he’s our ticket to the Superbowl so give him everything he could ever need & worry about the rest of the team later.

How many tools does Dak need? Two first round WRs including the best in the draft last year. A second round receiver, a pro bowl running back, a top flight line when healthy. Now we need a top ten tight end or another first rounder on the line? BTW which of the tackles that you JUST EXTENDED are you making a swing tackle so that your TOP TEN LINEMAN can get some run?

Grab another offensive player and keep fixing the defense outside the first round. That seems to be working out really well for us.

If surtain sewell slater are all off the board and we are left with a receicer we won’t draft and we draft horn than that would be considered worst case.

Deezboyz Justwin

If Jerry don’t trade up for Pitts and he nor Slater nor Sewell not there at 10 trade back get more picks we can get a cornerback in 3rd round for this scheme

    Deezboyz Justwin

@Philip Bolin in this draft it’s not just any old cornerback there really is no clear cut top or best it’s all opinion and who you like

    Antbeast23

I watched some sewell and slater film. They are athletic freaks. Future all pros

    Philip Bolin

@Deezboyz Justwin Surtain is damn good. They made a perfect point. A freshman who started for Nick Saban can start for me any day as a rookie

    Philip Bolin

@Antbeast23 maybe, but not game changers and or what we need.

    Deezboyz Justwin

@Philip Bolin just because started saben he is best cornerback yeah ok

Deezboyz Justwin

Stop valuing picks over championships just saying if it will takes next years 1st cowboys get to super bowl or NFC championship that is 29 to 32 pick who is projected in next years draft to be so great

Omar Cardenas

Bucky can he cover though. I dont see it

Matthew Friday

Less than three weeks and more articles will come out and more fans will be screaming for Pitts. When he will most likely not be there at 10 and I don’t believe the smoke of Jones moving up to 4 😂

evilSWA - beyond pandora films

Let SOMEONE ELSE take Pitts. Is this team gonna build the offense around Pitts? No. Is Pitts a good enough run blocker to be worth blocking half the time at the ten pick? No. Pitts DOES NOT FIT the Cowboys offense. They have multiple firsts at receiver, a top running back when the line is set, where does Pitts fit in? That’s right, exactly where all our TEs fit in. Run blocking and safety valve for the QB. You don’t spend a top ten pick on that unless you are changing the ENTIRE OFFENSE to now focus on…TE. Y’all wilding.

    KyleKatarn59

Drafting Pitts to keep him away from Philly and the Giants might just be worth it.

Antbeast23

I think the niners will draft fields or lance. They just want to check out mac jones.

Tony S

Oh my why is Kyle Pitts the cover of this

Jorden F

Bucky be doing his best Joaquin Phoenix impression sometimes with the laughing lol.

Lone Wolf

I highly doubt Horn will be there at 15-17.

Bret Baldwin

Really? A commercial 2 min into the show. Getting ridiculous.
