Kolton is a much better protector, but McGlinchey is an elite run blocker. I’d say they’re pretty even.
@DigBickBandit i want my left tackle to pass protect, run blocking in not as important .
@DigBickBandit when youre a tackle, pass protecting is a must. Guards? Ok cool, ud have a point. But they both protect the blind side, that’s crucial

@HighRoller23 it may be a lot now but that’s cheap compared to when the salary cap gets bigger and tackles want more and more . Like the Carr situation he got 25 mil and everyone was like that’s a lot but look at the qbs now. They want 35-40 mil for the top ones .
He’ll be underpaid by the 2nd year of the contract

This dude is huge… the earpiece probably fits everyone else fine. But this dude 6’8″!!! He’s packed on a ton of muscle, too!!! I’m really excited about our young O Line!!! They’ll be bigger, faster, stronger, healthier and more powerful and consistent!!! I love Hudson, but he wasn’t moving anyone in the run game without the help of a double team and even though he is still a master technician and great, he has definitely lost a step or 2 and getting towards the back end of his career. If Andre James is truly ready to take over and beats out Nick Martin, an absolutely fundamentally sound technician at center (and he can play guard) with an amazing anchor, footwork and hand placement, but James beats him out… we have the makings of a probowl and possibly all-pro Center for the next decade!!! SERIOUSLY, Martin is that good and with the way that James has been talked up, it sounds like he’s more than ready!!!
