It’s not either OR. It’s cut Zeitler($12M), Solder(post June 1/$11M), Tate($6M), Core($2M), Pulley($2.7M), Mayo($2.3M) which sets us at $36M in cap room. Sign LW, Dalvin, Godwin/Davis and Gallman. Draft your preference at CB Farley/Surtain-ER Basham-WR Brown-OL Banks. BTW don’t expect early signings because players and their agents are going to be shocked at how low the offers come in WHEN the 2021 cap is officially set around $185M. Ultimately there will be a record number of one year deals as players look to reset and focus on cashing in for 2022.

    They could probably draft for BPA and need at the same time with all the areas the team needs to improve in. They could probably get one of the beat receivers or corners real easy at 11.

    Spot on but I would order it in the priority of Edge (2 linebackers), #1 WR, CB & RT

    We need an inside linebacker to play next to Blake but also at least one top pass rushing OLB possibly 2. Even though we need a #1 WR, linebacker is our weakest position group We have Blake, late round picks (Coughlin, Brown) & two unproven and inconsistent young linebackers returning from injury-Carter and Ximines I would love to draft LB Micah Parsons and a pass rusher like Shaq Barrett. We might not be able to sign a WR like Allen Robinson but Curtis Samuel would be a nice pickup. Jones needs weapons and the Oline is still a work in progress Solder could move to RT but who knows how he will play Peart could take over. #2 corner would be nice but with McKinney, Peppers and Ryan at safety and Bradberry at the #1, Julian Love played well at CB when moved back He could take over. We need to finally fix the Oline

    Again, pass rush and weapons should be focus of draft and free agency besides more talent and depth for Oline. We definitely need to keep Leonard Williams and Dalvin Tomlinson.

    We are a 6-10 team We shouldn’t be having cap issues We have no bona fide “super stars”. How can Cowboys have Prescott but resigned Amari Cooper, Jaylon Smith, Demarcus Lawrence, Zeke Elliott, and their expensive Oline. We have overpaid for players especially Solder. I like Solder and empathize with his off field issues but he played poorly and we should cut him for the cap savings. There is no way we should be having cap issues and making sacrifices to let players go because we have been bad for years. I like Gettleman and most of his moves and drafts, but his roster management needs work.

I respectfully disagree with Peter regarding Leonard Williams. The majority of his sacks were coverage sacks. The two most important games (Arizona and Baltimore) Leonard disappeared. He is not worth the money he is looking for. I would rather sign Delvin and let Leonard go. If Leonard wants to stay for average of $14/year I would consider resigning Leonard, but Delvin over Leonard. Delvin is what make Blake look so good. He stuffed the middle which allowed Blake to roam.

If one of the two top CBs are available, and I doubt they will, I would pick the CB over one of the top 3 WRs. If neither is and Lantz is available trade down with one of the QB starved teams like New England, Chiago, Pittsburg, etc.). The WR class is deep, and collecting assets will help out fill out potential holes.

Draft Day will be interesting except for the first pick. Who will trade up and what strange picks happen.

This is not the topic for today, but I will say this, let Tomilson go, there is going to be a huge hole in the middle of the Giants defense. The same thing happened when we let Big Hank go. Also, I’m not 100% sold on 1 year of Williams. I think Tomilson has a lot to do with Lenord Williams success.
