ben does have to play under a reduced salary but still the cap hit is 20 to 21 million(even if he doesn’t play), so it’s pretty simple the steelers have the money and ben has said that he would play for the league minimum, so you negotiate, starting from that point and ending at the 21 million mark….any run that the steelers make next year will best be served with BEN AT THE HELM
