If the lions made it all the way to the nfc championship (which wont happen for a long time) just to be cheated by Tom Brady with bogus no calls then one interference call that seals the game against your team wouldn’t you be mad. @Chris Kay No, I supported the Rodgers pick. Stop conflating the circumstances; it was not the same. Rodgers was a #1 overall prospect that fell to the Packers (inexplicably, more of a failure of the rest of the NFL instead of a bold move by the Pack), whereas we traded up to draft Love after finishing in the NFC Championship the previous season a few pieces shy. Not the same.

@H.E. Pennypacker Yes it is the same. YOu are using tunnel vision on where each player was rated and not the reason for the pick. It does not matter how they were rated as the Packers brass drafted both for the exact same reason. In both cases they were drafting for the future. In both cases they had a 36 year old QB. In both cases that QB had 4 years left on his contract. IN both cases they were drafting to develop the next QB. People like you were making the same complaints when Rodgers was drafted as they are now. Everyone was complaining that they drafted Rodgers instead of getting a WR’s for Favre. Sound familiar? If they had someone like you as a GM aback then, Rodgers would be in another uniform and the Packers would be a doormat right now. The Packers have had success for the last 30 years because the GM”s went out and got their QB regardless of what know it all fans thought. From the Packer’s brass POV, this is exactly the same.
