We need to be

lit nation

Honestly we have the players. He just need the coaches to really show up and show out. Now its a waiting game

    Jim Sheppard

Agree with Reese. We have the star power but this team is incredibly void of depth.

    Drew

    well we need pass rushers

    Drew

@The Nation now that is wrong we dont need rebuild haha just ppl like fowler more help on defensive line.our offense is fine maybe a running back but those are normal for every team

    The Nation

    @Drew possible Two DE’s one DT a Safety, CB,G,Rb
That’s a small rebuild if you ask me, especially with our cap situation we won’t be able to retain some of the notable names

    Drew

@The Nation you are over thinking we will be just fine next season. already if we had better coaching we could have been in the playoffs this year. so its not like we need to improve alot. plus we got options to trade when you trade it doesn’t hurt cap. we have fowler that fits better on ther schems not ours.

Aiden Munden

Matt RYAN, RYAN Tannehil
I rest my case

    David Melton

What case? You didn’t say anything!

    izzy sparks

    Both don’t have championship rings.

Royal ,

Players definitely have too execute & be held accountable as well !

Kai Gomez

We love you and appreciate you welcome to Atlanta😁

Reese Dog

He said “we’re gonna be a smart team”. That alone will be a huge upgrade over what was previously at Flowery Branch. There was nothing smart about Dan Quinn so stay tuned.

Reese Dog

Culture shock compared to Tennessee I’m sure.

Monolith2001

Just make me happy on Sunday nights with an occasional (Monday, Thursday and playoff Saturday thrown in).

    Officer AND MARINE!!!

Just make you happy? It’s not about you

    Monolith2001

@Officer AND MARINE!!! Interesting interpretation of what I said. I’m not a Falcon fan for anyone else and don’t speak for others so comment stands.

    Adam Hobbs

    Don’t hold your breath

Davante Adams

Very excited about the Falcons upcoming offseason and season

Jazzy Jeff Real Talk

For perspective, Dan Quinn said fast and physical and fly around when he first arrived. The key is smith saying “Smart situational football”, cause those are the moments when we choke late in the 4th.

    J. B.

I wish I could like this comment a thousand times

    romon beard

    And redzone!

DK 100

Welcome Coach heard great things about you!

RM2427

“We’re going to be good in situational football” something this team badly needs

Kieran Welch

Finally we are reborn and headed in the right direction

AtlFalcons 4life

This is going to be a new team, It’s time to take the next step and RISE UP let’s go falcons!!

dr strange

He seems like the right hire already.

Africarayan221

Theres an intensity in him that we didn’t see in DQ.

Nick bagnulo

TERRY AND ARTHUR
PLEASE make the falcons good
HOPEFULLY GREAT

Chris

I can tell his brain is moving a million miles an hour I think we got a good one

Jim Marble

They need an offensive line. Every time I’ve watched Matt Ryan drop back it’s like a jail break!

    TheNrat

Sad thing is most of their oline is first round picks or guys they payed a lot of money to get

    UNAPOLOGETIC TV

    That’s true

    Timbo Slice

The O-lines talent honestly isn’t that bad it’s the god awful scheme koetter runs that hindered it. Our O-line is mostly built off zone blocking for running and quick reads in the pass game. Koetters offense was a 4 vertical offense and he ran power run up the middle way to often. Both going against what our guys bread and butter is and should be. Koetters WR routes take a long time to get open which again with a Qb thats not super mobile to buy time is hard to run with a smaller O-line built for zone. The reason Shanny’s offense and should be Smiths offense which is really identical is they do quick multi option routes and runs out of the same look and it’s quick striking and moving. What our O-line is built for and it should return to form under Smith like it was in 2016. I’ll even say if you watched the games last year when we ran tosses or off the edge runs where our guys move in open space we usually did very well for 5+ yard gains. Then koetter would go right back up the middle with gurley or Hill 4 to 5 more times in a row for 1 or 2 yard gains like a power run offense.

Jake Gunter

Welcome Coach Smith excited to see an offensive scheme that has caught up to the change of the game!!!
