It’s disturbing how you continue to hate Roseman, even when the owner clearly explained his decision to fire Doug, and why he is confident in his “imperfect” GM. Lurie stated the obvious that Howie has made mistakes, but he also stated the obvious good he’s been able to do over the last 5 years.
Lurie knows exactly why Howie drafted Jalen Hurts with the 2nd rd pick, when he had just paid Wentz top money. And it was not a stupid pick like you haters kept whining about.
Wentz is no better than an average QB … who needs good players around him to be good … and a good OC.
Wentz is not … the pocket passing QB that Howie drafted in 2016 to develop behind Sam Bradford, a top pocket passing QB.
Lurie knows that the biggest of Howie’s mistakes … was trading up to draft Carson Wentz, and then paying him top money. But Lurie is not going to state this at a Presser.
Doug was given the chance to bring in an outside QB coach & OC … for Jalen Hurts, but Doug wanted his own coaches. And so Lurie fired the idiot … because Press Taylor would not have been best for Jalen, just as he was not good for Wentz.
Doug could have still been HC … by simply allowing SB winning Jim Caldwell be the QB coach & OC as he was with the Baltimore Ravens. Simple win, win for the Eagles. But Doug stood his ground and told Lurie to fck off.
So disturbing how intolerant you haters are to the facts & the whole truth.

I got blocked for telling the truth?? Doug had a division 3 WR unit in 2019 and went to the playoffs. He had a Junior college O Line in 2020 and Wentz was on pace to get sacked 60+ times. That’s on the GM and his continued empty drafts

The fact that Howie Roseman is taking part in a 3rd search for a head coach is absurd.
Exactly, I’ll say it again…we won a Super Bowl under Doug. We probably could have won one under Chip with the talent we had. He has canned 3 head coaches under GM Howie Roseman, and all 3 had success in Philadelphia. I’m not sure we’ll get much better with our management, and it looks as if we’re headed for a tenure of the Cowboys, Browns, Bills etc. I want to look like the Packers, Saints, Seahawks, Patriots etc of our next generations. Multiple super bowls appearances, multiple playoff appearances and solid showing in the regular season. I’m not saying Doug should be excused for the last season, but it’s now clear there’s a common denominator under Howie Roseman.

This press conference did not inspire hope. Lurie says Doug didn’t deserve to be fired but had to be, yet Howie DEFINITELY deserves to be fired and that’s not even on Lurie’s radar. This is actually disturbing.
