Humble vs humbled
Offer Taylor Heinicke a 3-year contract. He’s only 27 and clearly ready to be a starting NFL quarterback.
I love what I have seen from the kid, but my concern is his inability to stay healthy when he plays. Might want to make it a one year prove it deal to see if he can go an entire season, or even an entire game. Either that or just don’t guarantee a lot of the 3 year contract.
Would love to see him with real nfl starting experience under his belt. Kid can be formidable.
@Neal M I’d rather have more than a one year prove it deal. Personally, I’m not really a fan of one year deals unless it’s a very high risk or an obvious stop gap signing. I’d like to see a two year deal with incentives. If he balls out next season then try to sign him to a long term deal. I don’t want to go through the Cousins “is he here or not here next season” roller coaster.
Great season, Haskins ruined the first half and they still managed to make it to the playoffs. Need to Resign Kerrigan,Sherff,Sims,KPL, and Darby.
Oh and don’t forget Heineki! Try to get julio, he’s available. draft a qb, LT in the 1st, and a top tier safety.
Kerrigan will go. He wants to be a starter, and he deserves that, and he won’t start here with Chase and Sweat being clearly above him.

I think we can go onto the offseason and let Allen and heinicke battle in training camp. Smith should retire he’s proven himself already. That lets us focus the draft on other needs
