I have 2 terabytes of John Lynch highlights. Shame it´s only from one game.
@bowlchamps37 ya man crazy should have made these highlights at least 5-10 mins each. Didn’t even show many of the really good plays.
It doesn’t show up in the stats but you can’t ignore what having a force like Lynch back there did for your defense. Players were afraid to go over the middle because they knew they were getting smashed in the mouth. Rules may have changed now but back then that’s how the game was and you can’t discredit Lynch for playing the game within the rules.
When the Panthers forbid Rodney Peete to throw the ball to any receiver that was in front of Lynch.

I remember when (I think it was) Ray Lewis was asked to put together the best linebacker. He mentioned the cover skills of Derrick Brooks and the hitting of John Lynch. Then the reporter said sth like “But Lynch was a safety” and (I think it was) Lewis said: But he hit harder than any linebacker back then.
Yoho! These are the Bucs I remember. Can we get an Alstott and Simeon Rice sighting? 😆😄 Hopefully this year’s version can make the legendary team proud me mates.
I don’t think the big hits will be highlighted if he makes it. They want those to be buried next to Redskins name.
