With no structural damage, he should be fine to play if he can bear it. Maybe the doctors don’t let him, but I’d guess they probably play him in a limited package to try and let him work back up to full speed the week after (if the bucs win ofc.)

@mclohan Bringing up the greatest season in the last 50 years doesn’t help your argument as you point out Brady had that team minuets away from a perfect season. So downgrading a human for somehow not being perfect seems ridiculous.

Of course you named all great, HOF qbs. But Montana is really his only competition for Goat. If Rodgers puts together another several MVP type seasons with another couple of superbowls, he could get there as well. And of course Mahomes has his career ahead of him. But it should be noted that dude has WAAAYYYYY more talent to work with than Brady did for most of his career and an offensive minded head coach, something Brady has only had for 1 year in Arians. .

defense gives up way too many points… offense got to score 30+ every week to win .. not good in playoffs ..ask Brady.. the deeper you go in playoffs the better the defenses get..

@Jason McNamara Look at all the years we won the SB. All those years that we won, we had a elite or borderline elite defense. For the 2001, 2003, 2004 Super Bowls, we had a crap ton of elite defensive talent. Ty Law (Hall of Famer), Mike Vrabel, Willie Mcginest, Richard Seymour (Hall of Fame discussion), Lawyer Milloy, Rodney Harrison, and Tedi Bruschi. All those guys were absolute studs. Then in 2014, Belichick assembled a secondary that would’ve been the best in the league if not for a certain Legion that we all know of, consisting of Revis, Browner, Arrington, Ryan, McCourty and Chung. Thats not even mentioning the 5th string guy who would become our #1 corner in the future. In 2016, the defense was not as talented, but they were still the best defense in the league in terms of points given up. And even if that defense wasn’t elite like are 2018 D, he shipped them into shape and stopped that powerful Rams Offense in the SB.

Also, ya can cut the Roethlisberger thing out. We both know Brady is better. To compare them is dumb and we all know it. I’m not saying Tom is this overrated guy who is getting carried by defenses and a mastermind. I am saying y’all shouldn’t keep crapping on Bill when HE LITERALLY HAS STAYED AT THE TOP OF A CAP LEAGUE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS!!!!

Facts and circumstances matter too. Brady didn’t start really taking off until Godwin and AB joined and they happened to end their season facing trash like the Lions and Falcons.

The Cards faced the Rams twice (they have one of the best defenses in the league) and Murray was injured most of the final game. So again, facts and circumstances.

Brady also has way more passing attempts. Like 2 games worth of passing attempts. So that inflates his passing yards and TDs quite a bit. Lets also consider that Brady got Godwin and AB at the end of the season and that’s when began to face the toiler of secondaries…Detroit and Atlanta. He had 10 of his touchdowns just against those teams.

When Tampa really needed Brady to put up those numbers, he couldn’t. He had 2 ints vs the Chiefs, 2 vs the Rams, 3 vs the saints in one game, and 2 in the other. The man was a turnover machine against teams that mattered. Kyler also played in a division that plays great defense through and through. No team in the NFC West let in over 400 points. They’re the only division that can say that.

I get the argument about QBR and passer rating, but there’s guys with higher or comparable ratings that you would never think. Drew Lock, Carr, Cousins… check out their QBRs and Passer Ratings. To this day, those are not accurate representations of how well a QB plays.

That’s bullshit! He deserves to be in the pro bowl this year! I even voted for him to be in the pro bowl this year.

It is a violation of the “Brady rules” to mount a comeback against him. I swear to God one pass interference flag comes 3 or 4 seconds after the play everybody was walking back to the huddle. A couple of weeks ago the ref picks up the ball moves it as far forward as he could reach it was still a couple of inches short. Tampa players literally walking to the sidelines and the ref says first down. The NFL has taken a very good player and made him greatest of all times from the tuck rule to present.
