For as much heat Shurmur gets for his play calling, it will be beneficial to Lock to maintain the continuity of the OC position in his development.

I look at this year as a extension of Lock’s rookie year in terms of no off season, a change of OC so learning a new system via zoom, OTA, etc.

Look at how Bolles developed in year 2 of having the same coach.

So having an off season, OTA’s, etc under the same OC would be fair to his development for a 2nd year… now if it falls apart next year, THEN it’s reasonable to question the OC and Lock.

No offense, but he repeatedly brings up excuses why the broncos aren’t performing the way they should. We are on the last game of the season and I see improvement in player development but the coaching needs to improve. Stop focusing so much on the players abilities but your play calling. The defense reads our offense almost every single play. Its kind of embarrassing. But you need to own up on your mistakes as a coach as well and don’t blame the losses on experience of the team and minimum reps that they had because of the no off-season. You have almost 11 seasons on your belt as a coach but still blame the players for their inability to win games. Who’s really to blame 🤔
