It would cost us $20+ million to franchise tag him. I’ve always liked the guy and would like another year with him but not sure the team could justify the cost. Especially because of the way Foles contract is set up, we are paying him so he’ll probably be here unfortunately…

Exactly! Moron Nagy tried to make a mobile QB a pocket passer while possessing an inept OL. Nagy needs to go for his poor scheming and Pace needs to go for supplying the team with poor talent. Mitch would be much better with new personnel around him.

Don’t be fooled. This is the same bad team from 2019. They will be 7-9 this season. Mitch only proved again that he plays well vs bad defenses. Watson was without his three receivers and running back on an injury/COVID depleted offense. This is no win to be proud of when the Bears can’t beat any good teams – Packers, Chiefs, Saints, etc. LMAO

It certainly helps when you have the teams full commitment and support. Something I don’t think they gave Nick . Evidence of that is in how the line has protected Mitch opposed to how they couldn’t ( or wouldnt) protect for Nick. Mitch had been their QB for three previous seasons. He had a relationship with them, a chemistry. Something Nick didn’t have or get a chance to do without the long established off seasons OTA’s . It’s unfortunate for Nick that the Covid virus had the impact on this season that it has had. Because I know having watched Nick play (since his college days) in a good environment he can be very effective. As evideced in his super bowl performance.
