Please Pettine stop playing zone defense
We have 2 amazing corners who would have the man coverage on lockdown, I agree stop the zone
Wouldn’t work in his scheme. Pettine likes to disguise blitzers by always playing zone. You might be able to read the coverage, but you won’t know who’s coming which screws up blocking assignments. The theory is this creates more pressure on the QB and results in more sacks and turnovers due to coverage changes after the snap. If you play man, offensive linemen can easily identify who’s blitzing just based on the pre-snap motion. Is it efficient? Who knows? When it works, it’s downright smothering on an offense. When it doesn’t, people call for Pettine to be fired. Am I a fan of him? No, I agree we could use an upgrade at DC, but even with all of the concerns on defense, the Packers are still above average in the league on that side of the ball.

@Pez Thequietone I still say he is one of the best, in his rookie year he went man to man against Julio Jones and aj green and did pretty well. Look up his statistics on pro football rankings and you will see he is actually having a great year
