@DTD_Metal_Head true to an extent but he did play pretty well last year. With terrible weapons albeit. And it’s not just him coming back from injury as you would want to believe. He’s not surrounded with a quarter of talent he had from that roster. He still wants to make plays but it’s hard with no weapons to throw to and your HC designs 0 absolute 0 plays to rollout. Throw that on top the fact we have no rushing threat at all, courtesy of Dougie P and your going to have yourself a bad time. Carson makes dumb throws because he feels he’s the whole team. And it’s pretty true to extent when you see what he has to deal with, day in and day out.

@John James I’m just saying he was a very good quarterback but the ACL tear usually setbacks players. Even though I’m an eagles fan I’m scared of losing saquon, who is a absolute beast.

Absolutely play hurts this year. Try to get a 1st in a trade. Get younger. Fire some coaches. Get our o line healthy. And will see Carson next year tearing it up.

@Shane Lafferty It usually takes players 2 years to be truly back from that. Adrian Peterson did it much quicker, but he’s a one off.

@SnipingSkulls exactly, but with his contract, carson will be there next year, but will but competing with hurts for the starting spot most likely, and a new staff will be in, howie will most likely be replaced, and we’ll see what carson can do with a new staff.

@369 if we get a competent staff than there won’t be competition. We have seen what Carson’s ceiling is. They will realize to design plays to Carson’s strength. He’s never been a pocket passer, why Doug keeps him in the pocket with the worst line in football, is beyond me.

@Alex Mayors you’re good at copy and pasting but how much do you actually know about football? Wentz didn’t ruin the franchise. You must be stupid beyond belief to actually think one person can do that. Wentz has plays bad this year yes. But he isn’t responsible for the state the team is in.

Wentz isn’t in charge of the draft. He isn’t responsible for his lack up oline or his lack of weapons.

Wentz isn’t responsible for play calling. He isn’t calling deep passes. That’s Doug. He isn’t refusing to run the ball.

Wentz isn’t responsible for his throws being dropped at times.

Wentz isn’t responsible for calling defense. He isn’t responsible for the defense playing soft coverage playing 10 yards off the receivers.

Wentz IS responsible or his inaccurate passes. Even thou his receivers keep dropping passes he has to throw with confidence.

Wentz IS responsible for SOME of the sacks. A lot of them are on the oline not being able to cover anything. A few are on him.

So no. Wentz didn’t ruin the franchise. He is doing everything he can with what little he has. You can see it just by actually watching the games. There are times that he will keep the ball and run it to get a first down himself.

Doug is to blame for his terrible play calling and refusal to run the ball.

Jim is responsible for playing soft coverage and relying completely on his Dline.

The oline is responsible for not being able to protect the pocket.

The receivers are responsible for dropping passes.

Wentz is responsible for his inaccuracies and letting the bs fans get to him.

Even jake Elliot is responsible for some bad kicks too.

The team is bad right now. There are very few good things about the team. The dline. Travis Fulgham, ward, slay, sanders, amongst a few other bright sides. But as a whole the team is bad.

Totally agree the handling of Wentz has been terrible. Defense is garbage and so is Howie, people need to go do some real research , last year the defense lost 4 of those 7 Ls . D lost a lot of games the year before as well. New D coordinator New GM problem solved. Should have got Mike Mayock
And he’s a Philly guy. All you scrub Wentz haters, you’re like the McNabb haters , Cunningham and Jaws haters Andy as well. Doug and Wentz will haunt you if the get axed. Look at Andy , any QB would struggle with all the injuries we have had the last couple seasons and terrible drafting.

Is that the only reason why Doug should be a coach b/c he won a super bowl 3 years ago? The team has been average since that season. The eagles barely had winning records the next 2 yrs. This coach can make an offense that works for foles but not one for wentz. Frank reich worked with 3 different QBs since getting hired as the colt’s HC and brought the best in all of them. Why can reich make wentz look like an MVP but not Doug? B/c he’s a trash coach. Ya’ll are crazy if you guys think Doug should be HC just b/c of that super bowl. Jalen hurts is still gonna look bad b/c he’s still playing with that same crappy offense under that stupid HC

@rapidpolitico he was given no players. the offensive roster this year is actually worse than the roster at the end of the season last year if you can actually believe that. but you will see how bad Jalen Hurts is and agree with me.
