Drew”Interception”Lock. It’s always next year, he’s not a franchise starting Qb.
I think this year cannot be used against him. We need to get a good vet and if he looks like this in the first 2 games or so bench him then. But no preseason hurt them I think. If we had that it would be different.

Y’all truly are too spoiled and deserve a losing team. Peyton Manning holds the record for interceptions as a rookie. Elway and the Broncos were awful when he started for 3 years.
@Anthony true but every young QB is not Elways or Manning’s some is Paxton Lynches Marcus Mariotas which category Lock falls under ? Don’t know but I know one thing the Broncos can’t afford Lock to play poorly another season Fangio, Elway and a slew of other people jobs is on the line

Most. Not all But he clearly has had opportunities and has regressed. As i been saying at this all year he is NOT the answer right now. Not saying he cant be but he truly needs competition and or maybe a couple years to try to perfect his craft. Much needed footwork improment, progressions, mechanics, pre snap, pocket awareness etc… Far too raw. This team is FAR to talented to wait for his development

We need a lot not just a pass rusher. He needs to ask Josh Allen how or who he trained with to make the jump he made from year 1 to year 2.
Time for broncos to be sold
I think lock could be a decent backup. Has a lot of bad habits. He will be the fourth best quarterback in the AFC West as long as he is the starter. Elway missed badly on Josh Allen. Chubb is ok, but he’s not a franchise quarterback.
Lol thats funny. No one was saying that about allen during his first 2 seasons. Now he is a darling now that he has made that leap. Yea he could always run it but now he is passing like a mvp. You know its a crazy thought but maybe just maybe people need to stop expecting guys like mahommes and deshaun watdon to be the norm and instead let a guy develop. We talk about how long we have been sucking … we won a superbowl like 5 yrs ago. The bills hadn’t been to one since 1991 and still gave allen time. Lock is yet to play a full 16 games still. So maybe we don’t try to give up on him like we did with Bolles. This year has been… unique and riddled with injuries but while I’m not seeing everything I want to se from lock overall the team is getting better. Pat is putting some good plays in there for lock. Everybody is learning about everybody.

He scored about a D-. The defense and running game spared him. Then when he had his chance he threw a second interception.

@Victor Thiros so tired of all these fans who think “oh he just needs more time”. They’re going to be saying that up until lock retires. He is not a good quarterback and is not built for this league. He has accuracy issues, can’t read a defense, doesn’t know how to audible, plays hero ball, etc. I think it’s time we put in rypien and see if he has a chance to be the starter

They’ll be starting a new QB next year. It’s a Lock.
If he’s our starting quarterback next year, he needs to work on his footwork and build chemistry with his WRs and TEs, which clearly wasn’t able to be worked on, this offseason. Lock also needs to put some touch in some of his passes instead throwing fastballs every pass. And if he puts more arc in his deep passes, which showed with Tim Patrick on that last play against the Dolphins, he’d be much better.
Drew Lock is a 2nd round pick on a team desperate for a 1st round quarterback talent.
he was first round talent that fell to round 2… you make it sound like where they were picked matters to anyone besides scouts.

@Anthony He went in the 2nd round because scouts and coaches didnt think he played in a realistic or pro enough offense in college and because his draft tape showed too much inconsistency and too many mistakes. The guy did put up numbers in college, but so did guys like Tim Tebow and you know where those guys eventually ended up. College doesnt always translate to the NFL

Man it’s so risky to give Lock another season when see this type of development with Paxton Lynch who had the tools but like Lock lacks the ability to read defenses Lynch never did improved cause he just wasn’t cut out to be a NFL QB there’s level to this game and Lock haven’t improved one bit that’s the most concerning part I’m not sure what Denver goes from here maybe go after Carson Wentz?
Take the 5 to 10 yards at 70% instead of 20+ at 10% and 90% INT….
Still 2nd year and this is mahomes 5th? So there is a huge learning curve.

Sign Sam darnold to a cheap deal to put pressure on Drew
Sign Tim Patrick to a 2 year deal
Get rid of Alexander Johnson and get a do it all linebacker in the draft
Let go phillip or sign him a cheap deal
Trade away aj bouye and mike Purcell
Let these young talent develop on our D line when there doing better than our starters and
Sign Shelby to another deal or franchise tag him
