I’ve been a Pats fan for over 40 years, and I have to tell you, I was more excited going into this season than I have been in at least a couple.
I’ll ofc always love TB12 and everything he brought to the franchise, and am cheering for his success in Tampa. But Cam just brings that youthful energy, swag, and excitement that had been lacking a bit.
Other than Corey Dillon, the Pats’ running game had always taken a far backseat to the passing game during Brady’s tenure. Mostly that worked, but sometimes it just didn’t.
I LOVE seeing what they can do as a ground n’ pound, ball-control team. The only big concern is Cam getting injured, but he’s a tough kid, and he seems to make smart decisions as to how to modulate his exposure.
Let’s 🙏🏻 for 10-6 and a Wild Card berth !

People underestimate Coach Hoodie Guru (BB) — not his football intellect, ofc, but in the way he speaks, esp knowing how much he LOATHES press conferences. 🤣 Many mistakenly assume that he’s a sourpuss (even when the Pats win) who just verbally “shoots from the hip”.
But no, he absolutely chooses his words carefully, even under duress, such as after a (rare) bad loss. Sometimes it’s not what he says but — as U point out in your perfect example — what he _doesn’t_ say. 🤔😁

Baby Boomer and life long NY GIANTS fan here. And I’m happy for Coach Belichick and the Patriots win today. I’ve been a fan of Coach Bill since he was Defensive Coordinator for my GIANTS back in the 80s. Best coach ever!
One thing I notice about Belichick, love him or hate him, is that when they play awful and lose, he will never throw any of his players under the bus for an excuse if they lose. Unlike some other coaches e.g Arians.
