What a foolish assessment by the panel. Maybe is fanboy-ism. Pretty obvious they don’t think playing QB at the NFL level is all that difficult. Klis thinks a guy who couldn’t make it as a college QB can come in off the streets with a few hrs prep and be a competent NFL QB. Good to know for when I read his sports articles/opinions smh

I gotta say I disagree with Klis assessment of Hinton. U cannot compare him to a college qb. He hasnt played qb in almost 3 yrs. And was told with less than 24 hrs to play. Yea a college qb could have done better .. but that college qb has been in that system at qb for a while. Has practiced. Has had reps. Has specifically game planned for opponent etc. I do agree he shoulda been allowed to run more and had easier passes. But im pretty sure the saints expected that too and were sitting on that stuff. I feel they kept on going deep just to get the guy some space. To keep the defense somewhat honest. What I also woulda liked to see was a reverse run where wr pass. Or running back in the flats catches then passes. Stuff like that. The entire team needed to be qb and maybe this woulda been installed if they even had 1 day to practice. Also the saints defense is no joke and clearly Kendall couldn’t hack it as a qb in college so u cannot compare him to what top prospects could do in the NFL. And finally… cam newton. Former mvp. With a hof coach. Threw for 84 yrds and 2ints with a full week of practice. So yea … Hinton did as expected. Taysom hill was struggling and he plays the position and had reps.
