@Lifeisagamble Elbmagasiefil under HC Flores´ leadership and the D coaching staff, this Phins Defense will continue to grow as a team, this bunch may be young recruits with veterans, but they´re tenacious and hungry for a championship (Flores said it himself, ¨the league and owners gives me too much credit, but the progress and training belongs to the D staff personnel hands down). Furthermore, Robert said it best, ¨we are paid to play defense and stop the opponent, period!¨

Well aside from Devante, there’s very little to work with. Gesicki is inconsistent, we have very little talent at RB, our wrs are small and our OL is mediocre at best. Lots of holes to fill

I wouldn’t necessarily say we have a lot of holes to fill. Injuries, protocol has decimated our wr & rb depth. And our line to a pt. But we also have a lot of young players, 1st & 2nd yr guys getting rotated in & out depending on injuries etc.
I think the line will improve with more experience & reps at 1 position.. We’ve had to do a lot of flip flopping.
I think, if all healthy, our wrs top to bottom, are above avg. Including Gesicki. I would to see 1 more stud wr, & an upgrade at rb. Although i really like what i seen from Ahmad & washington in spurts for their your youth & experience. But it all starts up front, whether being able to run, or giving the qb a chance to throw down field when the defense isn’t blitzing or selling out for the run. Goes hand & hand, gotta have the defense respect the run to get big plays in the passing game and give the qb time. Fitz being a 16 yr vet did some nice things moving in the pocket when he seen the line breaking down.
But don’t forget we are only about a year & a half inti pretty much rebuilding all 3 phases of the game & we are ahead of schedule.
And the defense being able to play aggressive bend dont break, getting sacks & t.o.’s is huge. It takes a lot of pressure off the offense & allows us to not have to force the issue since we can usually count on the defense making enough plays to keep us in every game.
I just love the mentality that Coach Flo & the rest of the staff has brought to this team. The players are all in & we are building a team of “we” not “me’s”. A lot to be happy about & to look forward to the future as a long long long time ptsd dolfan…
We are seeing our draft picks contribute & grow, we have a very young talented team whom are going to get better with reps Christian Wilkens turning into a beast on the Dline. Him, Ogbah & lawson been playing lights out when on the field together. We are making a lot more smart moves & have another nice group of draft picks to look forward to in the off-season. I just hope Tua can continue to progress.
Yes, we may be better on offense with a Vet with 16 yrs experience but that’s short term & thats not good enough to be perennial contenders, just good enough to be perennial middle of the pack, wild card type team..
So, tua needs to get his reps & looks in. He’s going to have growing pains especially with depleted skill players & a young banged up line. But we need him to go through adversity to see what we have in him. I don’t wanna wait 3 yrs in to find out & restart again. Fins up

They played well for the 2nd and 4th quarter. When it mattered at least.

So why did we draft a cornerback so high in the draft; instead, of receivers and rbs?

@james Last you really need four good corners. A lot of teams run west coast and spread. 3 guys in man, one in the nickel.

@james Last this upcoming draft I’d expect us to go linebacker high, RB, and both sides of the line. Probably go wr in free agency

Fitz is most likely gonna retire and we don’t need tua is our guy he is raw hes played good defenses fitz played the jets herbert and burrow have more experience be patient with tua. Learn a little something called qb development ask patty mahomes

@JDB why not having Fitz as a backup 2 more years? I’m not sayin as a starter. The role he has now is very valuable.
