Gordon gets more playing time because lindsay is a liability as a blocker and reciever. And up until today we have been trailing which means passing which means melvin. The carries will be close to even but the touches and snaps will usually go in melvins favor because he is a different type of runner but just as good as lindsay but can block and catch. Not as fast as lindsay or fumble proof though. But the way our qb doesn’t deal well with pressure … Melvin is very much needed. Which is why melvin is always out there during 2 minute drill.

Phil brings nothing to the passing game which is why Gordon gets more touches. Philโs a better runner but thatโs it
Itโs about the situation that theyโre in. Theyโre different style of backs no matter how good Lindsay is, he canโt magically become bigger. Melvin can catch better than him too as weโve seen. Broncos arenโt afraid to lineup Gordon as a receiver.
I favor Lindsay but Iโm tired of all this hate towards Melvin.
