Montgomery is super slept on because he plays for the bears on one of the worst o lines in the nfl, but he’ll surprise a lot of people.
We’ve had slept on backs for the last decade maybe longer. That’s how long the Bears inability to get a proper Oline or QB has gone on.
They said bears best o line this yr so we’ll see

@Alex Hennigh Not since Forte has Chicago RBs been given their proper due credit in being talented rushers (Langford, Howard, Cohen and now Monty; Herbert and Ebner could be next)..
For all their offensive woes in drafting or coaching up offensive skill players (such as QBs, WRs plus TEs) and finding linemen to block for them, Da Bears scout some real solid to good RBs consistently

as a pack fan, i watch every game vs the bears. he got no blocking and he fight and fight to get at least one yard. thats a typical shame to waste this guy talent specially rbs dont last that long. if he played with a team that got good run block team, he would be a top 5 back.

People sleep on Montgomery because the bad offensive line but i had this man 2 year straight on my fanasty team and he brought me a championship twice

I am so glad he is finally getting da recognition he deserves 💯 Monty been our best offensive player for 2 seasons now despite his offensive line and his HC not getting him da ball or using him a lot in da playing game 💯

If he goes to a team with a good OL next year, he’s definitely getting 1200 + yards easily
this guy has had some of the worst olines in chicago and he still runs hard. I think he will surprise lots of people this year. Would not be surprised to see him get at least 1500 Total yards
The first half of this list is always commentary largely from close-to-retirement free agents and backups. I think if they require ALL players vote, you’ll get more stars talking not only about stars but the back half of the list, which is what these players would absolutely prefer over having Mike Daniels saying why you’re ranked 98th.

It’s about damn time. Monty finally getting his flowers. Long overdue.
You can make an argument that Monty could’ve been on the list all 3 of his years in the league. Matt Nagy held him back. But In 2021, Monty ran hard. I knew it was going to be a rap with his performance vs LA in week 1. If he didn’t get injured, he would’ve had about 1200-1300 rushing yards in 2021. Bears need to pay this man. Since they giving Roquan Smith a hard time, i can’t imagine how the bears will negotiate with Him for a new contract next offseason.
Matt Forte comes to mind when talking about David Montgomery he can catch and Run and block he’s whole Package deal
Mike Daniels is my favorite part of watching the 100 every summer
He runs so damn hard. I’ve been a Bears fan for over 20 years and I truly believe we’ve not anyone run as hard as him since Walter. His legs just never stop unless your literally take them off the ground. That’s why his yards after contract has been elite going all the way back to his Iowa State days.
