@ToxicLure Emmanuel moseley played just as well last season as any of the guys who get mentioned in the top 15, and Charvarius ward is on the same level. Pair that with a top 5 safety in the league in my opinion and a young talented safety in hufanga and I don’t know how you can come away with “decent”

Jimmie Ward is the last link to the Jim Harbaugh era on this current 49ers team.
I used to not be a fan of Ward at all but now I think he isn’t being appreciated enough so seeing him on here is great.

That includes Jimmie Ward, who is good but just ok compared to other safeties Kevin Byard, Jessie Bates, Budda Baker, and Justin Simmons.

Jimmie Ward was the only reason the 2021 secondary wasn’t an absolute dumpster fire. If it weren’t for him the niners probably wouldn’t have made the playoffs, super underrated

Lovin the jimmy ward highlight reel. So glad they finally left him at his natural safety position. Hated that during the early parts of his career they kept trying to throw him at nickel corner. Now he’s ballin.

Ward has improved almost every year. He was a controversial pick in 2014 by the fanbase, but he’s turned out just fine. 9 seasons later, still here.
Honestly one could make the case he deserved to be higher. You’ve heard the term ‘shutdown corner’ but Jimmie is a shutdown safety. Teams do their diligence on him in preparation, and acknowledge that he’s not someone to test.
I remember I started watching the niners during the Harbaugh Era when we drafted ward and he’s the last remnant from those days. Remember folks wanted him gone a few years back but I actually think his game has improved tremendously with age. Dude is a dawg too
