@Juan Barrera no you’re on drugs. I agree he wasnt the best last uear but still top ten. But just the year before (2020), he was hands down the best linebacker all the way, then wagner, Kendricks, lavonte, and damario quite a bit behind to finish out the top 5 that year.

Honestly I thought he would have been a bit higher on this list. But he did struggle in the beginning of the season. Until John Lynch publicly said he not playing at a high level. Thatβs when Warner turned it around and he started playing at a high lvl again.
Our whole defense was struggling not just Warner but he completely dominated the 2nd half of the season
@TayK 47 The ONLY and I mean ONLY reason yall were struggling was because of arik armstead being on the edge, THE MOMENT he got moved inside y’all defense went from playing subpar to playing like a wrecking crew, him, bosa, and warner turned it on a 180
Warner was too busy schooling Al Shaiir (third string LB) after Greenlaw got hurt, thats why Warner wasnβt producing as much last season. Al Shaiir blossomed because of it though. Now we got three stud LBs coming into this season
@Dan The Man this is facts, last year we had him playing DE and I didn’t like it but understood that it was our best option. When he started at edge again this year I was so pissed at DeMeco and Kris, Armstead was obviously way better inside and this year proved it. Before they moved him back inside our run stop defense was a joke RB’s were averaging like 5 ypc.
If he played for the Cowboys or other media hyped team he would be top 20
He does play for a media hype team but he should be a bit higher

As a lifelong Rams fan. I love seeing Fred Warner play. The Niners have had a great history of underrated LBs. Anyone remember when Willis retired and Borland took over for one year? Idk how they keep producing high level LBs every year. But that Defense gives my Rams fits every season.
Omg don’t bring up chris borland. He was one if my favorite players. So sad that he retired. The man was so good at hitting he had to retire early before he got CTE.

Both Warner and Darius Leonard should be top 20 players. They’re insane.
Well both were top 10 LBs last year. Top 10 were Micah Parsons, De’Vondre Campbell, Shaq Leonard, Lavonte David, Demario Davis, Fred Warner, Kyle Van Noy, Shaq Thompson, Bobby Wagner, and Matt Milano.
@Moseh Lewi how was Kyle van noy top 10 lmao, plenty were better, Logan Wilson is one that was much better.
As a former jets scout it is clear that Brock Purdy is a better fit in Shanahanβs pro-style offense than Trey Lance. Purdy looks more comfortable and efficient (60.9% vs. MN). I smell a QB controversy

Warner has certainly been an excellent successor to the great Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman for my 9ers.
The best part about Fred Warner is he always seems to be having a BLAST, good energy from that guy.
Him and George kittle are my two favorite players for that exact reason.
