He’s walking. If he could have been enticed to stay for less than $20 mil a year, he would have signed already. But he’s pursuing elite pass rusher pay, so let him shop around. Congrats to whoever picks him up. I think the line didn’t do him any favors last season, and even when he was bottled up by three linemen, the other guys were still struggling to get to the QB. He was providing them wide open opportunities to get in the back field, and they just couldn’t do it. Third downs were their Achilles Heel – Seattle just could not get their defense off the field when they needed a stop. And while they have made roster moves and picked up some speedy kids from the draft this year, I don’t think he’s willing to wait around to see how it pans out.
