This is a Solid pick! He’s a big fast Safety that finds the ball… He can play deep and let Derwin play in the box
He allowed a 64.5 career passer rating, and has played multiple snaps at the slot, box and as a free safety, he is very versatile. Had very little penalties,missed very little tackles in coverage, had a good amount of ints, and allowed very little tds, shows he is very disciplined, I am happy with this pick.
And what about Nasir? Dude came back after a terrible first season. This just reminds me of Nasir.

This is in direct reaction to the AFC West lining up to be pass game bananas. He’s track speed fast with 6 INTs, this kind of depth is vital against KC/LV and DEN. Im thinking Telesco has some FA he’s eyeballing for D Line for run defense. Time will tell….

Yea your little behind my dude our GM addressed those very needs in free agency and non more bigger then trading for Khalil Mack to pair with bosa and give him the help he’s been needing since Ingram left and honestly Ingram’s last two seasons with the chargers did not provide good support for Joey bosa. Mack was in the same boat with the bears and while he is little bit on the older side he’s still a beast that will wreck havoc and cause terror for QB’s along with younger bosa.
@Six DaSlayer Mostly. Bosa/Mack are elite pass and rush defense. Joseph Day/Johnson/Covington are very good pass and quality rush defenders. I think the reason Jordan Davis had been mocked to us forever is that we lack an elite run defender in the “middle”. Picking up a really big, run d specialist DT would be wise in FA.
@dee ward .Totally agree, but Bosa and Mack cant play every down. I think a monster DT for run defense specifically 1st and 2nd down would be useful in depth. The other pieces are good, but Jordan Davis was our mock pick for weeks for a reason. We have certainly improved from last year, couldn’t have got worse. So excited to see Bosa and Mack out there destroying Carr!
I can’t wait to seee the defense . Especially nas. I think he has so much potential . He’s been this close to have amazing ints like against terry. He’s undersized but he has ball skills. He’s a sketchy tackler at times with his angles. I really like nas. Don’t get me wrong but I’m just so curious as to where he’s gonna fit in.
Yea I think for now he’s just great depth and maybe he’d sub in in plays with Derwin in the box as an extra guy deep with nas. I love nas still too
JT and Nas will play 2 high safety while Derwin plays close to line of scrimmage

“Scheme versatile” gets thrown around too much I think, but that’s exactly what he is.. Can play roaming safety or switch over to sub-package corner, the same thing we thought Adderley was gonna be. Staley loves those guys and I love his physicality and ball hawking. Let us not forget that Cromartie was also a college safety that converted to corner
