Chris Spielman, Lions next head coach or defensive coordinator.

Would love to see him as a coach. Thought he wanted to coach or at least at one time I thought he did

I know but it would cool if it somehow. Having played the game I think he would be awesome as DC.

    PredatorKingdom

I wouldn’t mind seeing him as coach but it won’t happen, he’s got a more comfortable job doing what he’s doing now.

    PredatorKingdom

@Rumple Stealskilz LOL! Spiel was a great motivator when he was playing so it can definitely rub off on this team.

two of the best in the business right here!

what an incredible breakdown! Love these!

I miss hearing Spiel on the Fox Broadcasts! He’s the best! Hope all is well.

Me too we haven’t gotten Spiel doing one of our games yet which is weird because he usually would’ve done one by now. Hopefully in one our next FOX games because we’re on CBS this week that we get Spiel to either do the Vikes, Skins, or Panthers game. I really want to hear him while the team has improved this season.

Spielman chunky facemask was sweet

Love the insight, but it looks to me at 2:42 like Julio was clearly trying to block Flowers to prevent him from getting to the RB. Notice that his first step is sliding left, not running forward. This wasn’t Jones picking the crossing route, this was Jones trying to block Flowers for the RB.

Exactly, – and very worrisome about Spiel that he can’t even recognize (Spiel’s fav word) this.

Rumple Stealskilz

The lions MADE that victory happen. Thats Matt Ryan, Gurley, Julio and Ridley on the other side. They are definitely better than their record. Good game lions.

    PredatorKingdom

Well said bro, the Lions balled out in this game especially defensively as the Falcons aren’t a real 1-6 team. Things are just not coming together for them as their offense is still deadly I had nightmares going into this game because I didn’t know if our young pups Amani and Okudah could handle Julio and Ridley but they did and the defense did a great job of stopping Gurley all game that made it difficult for Ryan to put up points.

    Rumple Stealskilz

PredatorKingdom yea we had gurlrys number. They need to get a solid number 2 guy. Behind gurley.

    PredatorKingdom

@Rumple Stealskilz Yeah we did have his number and I think the Falcons became super predictable with their running attack. If they still had Tevin Coleman this would’ve been more difficult so they definitely need to find another back. A lot of our fans complain about the running back by committee thing we’re doing with Swift, AP, and Kerryon but that actually keeps their legs healthier and makes the running attack more unpredictable.

These two dudes are incredible love listening to them every week especially Spiel who I hope does one of our November games on FOX. We’re on CBS twice starting with the Colts on Sunday and Texans on Thanksgiving. This team is starting to turn it around under Patricia they are gaining more confidence as a team that’s why winning these two games was very important. I think most people expected this to be a shootout and for Atlanta to post another 30-40 pts in this game but our secondary held up way better than expected. Okudah and Amani are the real thing we are going to be one of the top defenses in the league because of them in the next few years. The key in this game was the ability to stop the run first and foremost as they made Matt Ryan way more predictable in this game knowing he was going to pass overrunning. If the Lions can continue to stop the run they’ll win more than they will lose the rest of the way. We already know how deadly our offense is and it’s scary to know we still haven’t seen their best game as a unit yet not even close. A tough game this week could go either way but if the Lions get to 4-3 that 7-4 or 8-3 record going into the Bears game is looking very realistic.

This “expert” analysis, and we don’t even notice (or at least comment), on the ball being placed at the 11 after the official review on the KG catch? Nope, can’t do that and speak any ill of Patricia for missing it too, no sir.
