I don’t think anyone realizes the amount of agonizing pain Detroit’s team brought onto him to not only move on to the Rams for a super bowl but even care about Detroit as a whole.

His interceptions were high as well. Even though I support Stafford, he shouldn’t be ranked higher nor be in the conversation for HoF. He actually played just about his form at Detroit, the difference is of course his defence can cover for his interceptions as well as keeping the lead to win games. That’s why conversations about QBs are difficult. Brady have had solid defence behind him almost his entire career, but he’s also extremely efficient and often complete crucial drives. It is still a team game.
@Skillganon I agree and in this era it’s easy as hell to move up the all time passing yards list. I prefer that the nfl doesn’t become the nba when it comes to the ease of being conducted into the hall of fame. I don’t know if you follow basketball but rajon rondo, he’ll probably make the hall of fame and led the league in assists 4 times, won 2 championship, but was the 3rd-4th best player on both titles. A hall of famer is when you’re gone the league isn’t the same without you, not he was pretty good and won a superbowl.

@Kami sama Stafford had 0 interceptions in the 4th quarter including the playoffs this season with rams, 14tds, 0int, 123 passer rating… Had more game winning drives and comebacks in 1 season. than Goff had in his whole career with the Rams. Staffords statline was wayyyyy better than Goffs in the playoffs, and Stafford had to literally lead 3 game winning drives in a row to win that superbowl. Obviously there’s some truth to your statement, but it’s a total over exaggeration.

One of the most underappreciated quarterbacks of all time until this year. Even as a Lions fan, I’m so happy for his success in LA and finally getting the recognition he deserves.

@ant3698 There are plenty of great WRs that havent had seasons like Kupp and Johnson. Was Peyton not good enough for Harrison? Brady and Moss? Aaron and Davante? Montana and Rice? Stafford is obviously doing something right and you cant say that another qb would certainly have done the same because they havent with the same caliber of receivers, or better.
He needs to be ranked in the top 20 considering the historic season he had. 14 tds 0 int 123 passer rating in the 4th quarter and won the super bowl despite his entire wr core being decimated by injuries in the super bowl. No Woods, OBJ, Higbee, Kendall Blanton, and Akers who just came off of a torn achilles. His defense was ranked 15th and rushing attack was ranked 24th and he won with that. I guess having a better completion percentage than Allen, Mahomes, and Herbert being 5th in qbr, 3rd in yards, 2nd in td passes and td percentage, 6th in passer rating(102.9), throwing for 6000 yards in a season 50 tds having 3 straigjt game winning drives in 1 postseason run isn’t good enough to be considered a top 5 qb anymore now these days.

@Ama Tmc here’s the thing there’s some reasoning to back up what I said, Herbert has shown he’s an incredible quarterback, he has a superbowl caliber team around him as well, and has a good coach, Trevor Lawrence has been trash so far, has a trash team behind, and his current coach despite winning a superbowl is a ? because he has also been a bad coach at times
@One giant KFC bag It’s one season of elite level play. Great players have great seasons. Generational players are consistently great. That’s the only distinction keeping Kupp lower than a small handful of guys overall, but he was definitely the best in the league last year.

This is criminal how the hell you have Joe Burrow ahead of him. You can literally argue joe burrow had the best receiving core in the nfl last year and a better back field. With Chase, Boyd, Higgins, Uzomah, Mixion. The defense was great too the only thing missing was his oline and people hate on Stafford for throwing too many picks when he only had 3 more at 17 vs 14. We saw what stafford did in the Super bowl too when he only had kupp after Obj, Woods, Akers, and we were on our 3rd string TE like come on bro.

Stafford wasn’t that good last year he had plenty of picks. He would’ve lost the super bowl if the refs didn’t give it to him, and if he did he’d be like in the 40s this year
@ez before Stafford, kupp was just a top 10 receiver. Goff made him look worse than he is at times but kupp was able to put up good stats. Stafford made that man the best in the league. It’s amazing how a QB with good timing can do for an intelligent receiver with great hands

What impressed me most about Stafford is the class he has. All those years in Detroit and never once complained or requested a trade. Just came in and did his best all those years. Happy to see him finally gain the recognition he always deserved

He was phenomenal in the clutch. But consistency might have been the reason why he’s ranked down here. There were multiple games where he had stretches that he couldn’t even make a simple pass, those almost costed them the season

Rodgers gave him huge props on Pat Mcafee for doing what mahomes was doing before he even became a ram. He deserved to finally get a ring.
