Real People

Let’s build the foundation let’s invest in the line both first round picks

    Glenn Yates

That would probably be a mistake. I want the team to take the best player available. Drafting for need, especially with the fifth and seventh picks is always a bad idea.

    beefoneeto

@Glenn Yates That’s a quandry for the team with the 5th and 7th picks if there isn’t a lineman that is worth it but unless a guy doesn’t have a high enough rating I’d still like linemen or at least one on rd 1 .

    New York Giants Family Bonding

Yes but you gotta admit – we are Crisis as it relates to starting QB. Do you really still think Jones is our franchise starter?

    Rick Kasten

@New York Giants Family Bonding If DJ’s neck prevents him from returning, they’re in bad shape, but not crisis. They need to build the team around the QB first, so that we don’t repeat what we have now which is how they ruined Eli’s last 5-6 years and ruined DJ. If DJ can return, 100% he’s the QB in 2022. If he shines, great. If not, draft a QB in 2023 to play behind the 3 OL picks they added in Day 1-2 in 2022.

    Glenn Yates

@New York Giants Family Bonding probably not

OL OL OL & Depth

carson kremlik

i’ve been trading down in the first round until i get the fear and trembling about getting a top tackle,
piling up as many second round picks and 2023 picks in the process. Malik Willis
has big upside, so i sometimes snag him in round 2 (pfn mock draft). Giants want to see
more from DJ, but need a talented back up with no 1 qb potential. There’s good depth in 30-50 pick
range. Rhyan, Mcbride, Christian Harris, Brandon Smith, Nakobe Dean, Enagbare, Battle, Petit-frere for example. great video. thanks

Jeffrey Abbey

Devin Lloyd & Nakobe Dean

But Giants dont draft LBs until later rounds for some reason šŸ¤”

    Robert Mazzarachio

Based on what was said here I’m all for taking Karlaftus at 1-5 assuming Thibideau and Hutchinson are gone if they trade back as far as 1-14 with 1-7 and acquire an additional second round pick Id love Lloyd then get a OG and OT like Kinnard , Ryhan UCLA or Fahlel Minnesota as RTs in second round a C and CB in round 3 or 4

Rob Metal Deth

When Spags left for the Rams, at the time, it was a bad job to take. Unfortunately he was on a short leash. Fisher came in and built it up and made it a great opportunity for McVay. This is a bad job for any rookie HC to take. A veteran HC is needed here, a GM that knows what needs to be done. And players that dont look ridiculously lazy. The 5 year plan should have started 5 years ago, but it starts now due to owner incompetence.

Xavier Tardone

You do not know if there NFL ready . Everyone thought Darnold, Mayfield and Tua were going to be great

    Brian Keegan

@esils it’s not debatable, RGIII was significantly better. You must hate research, RGIII also had a higher completion percentage and a much better TD-Int ratio than Baker. Even though Baker also had the 2nd best rated offensive line in the entire league as a rookie, which almost no other rookie ever has the luxury of (RGIII’s was 16th)

    esils

@Brian Keegan don’t lose focus on the original issue…..did baker show a flash of greatness as a rookie….yes or no? Obviously yes if your trying to make excuses for his great numbers šŸ˜‚ i digress.

    Brian Keegan

@esils you’re the one who lost sight of the issuešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ because you all of a sudden said if I could find one better rookie qb who didn’t go on to be great I win, so I already won

    Brian Keegan

@esils but now you want to change the issue again because I called you out

Al ValcƔrcel

The O-line has been terrible for years. Use all the top draft picks to get some awesome players to build it up. Hopefully, the new GM will improve on the scouting. With improvements in pass protection and run blocking, Jones and Barkley will be so much better – give them another year.

Alex Nitz

Trade down from 5 to 11 with wft Bc they want to trade up and get a qb. Get pick 11 there next year first and a 3rd this year and 4th next year. Pick 7 take Ikem ekwonu, pick 11 take lindenbaum. Then at like pick 24 trade up and give up 2 of our 3rds a 5th round and next years 4th and Logan Ryan. Then take Jordan Davis. With our 2nd round pick we take Christian Harris, 3rd round a edge rusher, 4th a wr, 5th a TE. Than 6th take a safety. So after all we get a extra next years first round, we get ikem ekwonu and lindenbaum to add to our O line. Also get Jordan Davis, Christian Harris and a 3rd round edge to add to our D then also a middle round wr and te to add. Man I can’t wait for April!

    Rick Kasten

This roster is potato chip thin. Giants might genuinely carry no more than 2 OL from this roster, and Nick Gates might never return from his injury. They need every draft pick than can get, even into the 7th round. Plus you gave away both 3rds to move up, so there’s no 3rd to draft your ED.

bjplum80

Every pick should be used to grab hog mollies

DL

When so called “DRAFT GURUS” say its a weak draft and not a lot of blue chip prospects it means….

ITS NOT EASY LAYUP YOU HAVE TO REALLY SCOUT the players…You never know what a draft is until players hit the NFL field.

Jonathan S.

We have 5 picks in the top 100. I want to see the new GM come away with x2 pass rushers and x3 O-linemen. I’m all for dropping down and adding capital and I would love Tyler Linderbaum if we can manage it but I hear ND has a good C coming out and could be had in the top of rd 3.

    Rick Kasten

I don’t think they need 2 pass rushers. Ojulari is going to get even better, and don’t sleep on Roche. Bonus if Carter resigns. They need to get a Day Two S and/or TE over a 2nd pass rusher.

    Robert Mazzarachio

ND C is returning for senior year at ND not going to the draft this year

Patrick Shelton

I wonder what the measurements on drew breeze look like?

Patrick Shelton

I think jones can be great …..if he stays healthy and has guys who can block

Redd Rich

2 first round picks. RT and Center. 2nd round go Edge. 3rd round picks, Guard and LB. 4th round receiver. The rest of the picks I go DT, RB, TE, and another linemen

A. R. Trifone

If these guys are correct, the Giants should probably look to trade back, right? Is there anyone to be excited about for the Giants in the top 10?

Rick Kasten

The Giants’ roster is so thin, it would almost be a crime not to trade down #7 if there are takers. Take best ED or RT available at 5, get as many picks in this draft as possible for 7, and infuse as much new talent as possible. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Giants trade BOTH 5 and 7 and end up with 2 picks 9-20 and an additional 2-4 Day Two picks. The roster is THAT bad.

Nate River

I hope the Giants get that Jordan Davis kid from Georgia and can bring back Josh Johnson to improve the QB experience depth

Robert Mazzarachio

Great video and very enlightening

ShayComposed

Tom Brady, was a 6th Round QB started my the Patriots… HOF QB. Not always do these predictions never really turn out the way you would think. Just saying.
