@Anthony Scioscia no, fleeced in terms of the pick they wanted…titans took the last of their hope, when Radunz was gone, colt’s quick-picked , they knew they were done and you saw titans draft room explode with high-fives including Vrabel. I’m saying you can read their body language in the presser. dejected at best.
@dabney offermein I HIGHLY Doubt that Radunz was high on their board. The Colts were siked to get Odeyingbo. Dudes a First round talent.
@dabney offermein Ballard said it himself. Filling Castonzo’s spot is huge and is too much for a Rookie. Colts went best available and arguably has the best Defensive player in this draft. If we’re being honest, The Titans got fleeced because they now have to block Buckner and Paye
@Trey Jefferson i agree that titans have to block us, but prevailing media opinions on Paye is that he won’t be effective until year 2 in the system, which means no immediate payoff. And Darrisaw is a day 1 starter, rookie or not, he would have started at left tackle.
This was a horrible draft for the Colts…I love the Colts but their draft picks this year stink! Especially drafting Sam Elingher he was horrible at Texas and will not be a good pro! Disappointed but oh well…Go Colts!!!

Don’t feed the troll. The Matt character must be a salty Texans fan. Turned one of the oldest, worst rosters in the league into one of the youngest and deepest rosters in the league all while staying near the top in salary cap space.
Ballard is the envy of 90% of the GM’s and owners in the league. Dude is a boss.
Oh and and about the record? Still well over .500 with a carousel of QB’s includes only one year of Andrew Luck.

@Matt Lee Let’s recap:
2017: Basically a lost year. He inherited an aging, talent poor roster and a mediocre coaching staff, and had to tear down the roster before building it back up (missed on early picks, but found tremendous value on day 3 – Mack, Stewart, Walker)
2018: 2 offseasons into the rebuilt, had one of the most productive drafts in recent memory. You can say Nelson was a sure thing and doesn’t count, but Leonard was a little known LB from a small school and both were all pros as rookies (not to mention finding a quality starter in Smith on day 2 and adding a playmaker in Hines and some depth at LB on day 3). Jury still out on Turay who was on his way to become a pass rushing force before that freak injury and Lewis who took a step up last season and could fill in as a starter for Autry this year.
2019: For now, Campbell and Ya-Sin haven’t worked for different reasons but there is still time going to their 3rd seasons. Again got great value in Okereke (3rd round) and Willis (4th round) as both became key pieces in what was a top 10 defense in 2020. Luck retired 2 weeks before the season started so he had no time to fix the QB position, and the team still went 7-9 and probably could have made the playoffs if it weren’t for 2 atrocious performances by Hoyer against tge Steelers and the Dolphins. Just shows you how good the roster he built was around the QB.
2020: Pittman was pretty good as a rookie and could be a legit WR1 in 2021 and beyond, Taylor was a homerun, and finding Blackmon in the 3rd round was a steal. We finished top 10 on both offense and defense, had a 11-5 record and frankly dominated a good portion of the playoff game vs the Bills.
I think there’s a lot to love and not much to hate…
Pedro Kallas I agree with everything you said except a lot more to love than hate. That’s all up to each individual person to decide. I think he’s a so so GM with way more misses than hits. Darius Leonard was the highest FCS off ball linebacker ever drafted too. That’s why nobody had ever heard of him, he could of probably been had in the 4th. That’s why he was considered a bad pick. There wasn’t even a FCS off ball linebacker drafted in 2017. But still, he turned out to be a home run. So it’s hard to argue against the pick. My whole point is that if Wentz and this draft in particular don’t work out Ballard should be in the hot seat. It seems as though he could burn Lucas Oil to the ground and most Colts fans would praise the way he lit the fire.
You can tell these guys are worn out and the draft is a stress toll on these guys

Again zero issues with what direction this squad drafted over the weekend. Obviously lacked pass rushing and Ballard addressed it. Go colts baby!!!
Ballard and Berry from Cleveland are my two favorite GMs. I always joke with my buddy around this time of the year. I’m the Chris Ballard in our group. I tell it how it is, straight shooter. My other buddy is like Berry, very systematic and very thought out. Both have had great success in their young careers but man, Ballard is refreshing for me. As a Browns fan, Colts had a good draft and I’ll be rooting for them. I really hope it’s Browns VS Colts in the AFC title game next year.
As a colts fan, I love the players that the browns have been drafting and bringing in. A bunch of grinders. Big fan, except when they play the colts 😂😂

The only way I can say I’m happy about this draft is if they sign one of the few solid LTs left in free agency.
Think colts gotta go after the remaining LT’s in FA. Sign fisher, test tevi out until fisher is back healthy and use him if needed. Colts still have a lot of cap so hopefully we can get a vet there. #InBallardWeTrust
I like the qb room now… a lot of gotta prove it attitude, Wentz will feed off of it. Pass rushers are expensive in FA, smart move replacing the ones we lost through the draft with early picks.

Unrealistic expectations and Colts fans. Name a more iconic duo. We just got Wentz he is the big question mark. Not realistic to expect a super bowl when we don’t know what Wentz we are getting.
Sounds like Ballard was saying it without saying it that he thinks Darrisaw isn’t gonna be a LT his whole career.
If Chris pulls this years draft class off I’m impressed I just don’t see it with players he drafted .
Definitely think they will either sign or trade for a LT soon, maybe then try to trade a player for a pick or two.
