Sam Darnold is still going to be a elite QB.
I’m a Jets fan myself and he’s not. He can be a very good/borderline elite but not elite. Elite quarterbacks have a trait that stands out and breaks the game. Watson’s ability to evade defenders, Rodgers ability to make crazy throws, Mahomes playmaking ability. Sam doesn’t have a trait that sticks out. Elite QB’s can do a lot of things with not a lot of talent. I think Sam will be very good but not elite. I hope you get what I’m saying.
Brow Master we get what your saying but he can become Elite all qb’s can but most qb’s are lazy and don’t try

Shane Leonard I just need to see that game breaking ability, it isn’t there yet. Look up Strong Opinion Sports Sam Darnold film analysis. He needs a better team around him to succeed, I think he’ll be very good and can lead the Jets to the playoffs with a good team but I need to see that trait out of him

I just wish his hands were bigger. They’re pretty small, but if he becomes a great WR despite that then we found something special.

I’ve watched that 2 point conversion against the Bills 100 times and I still can’t figure out how he did that, it’s astonishing to me every time I watch it. I was overjoyed when they drafted him, never thought we had a shot at him, and today I feel the same way, I get a thrill when I realize he’s a Jet, I’ve never seen a more talented QB in a Jets uniform. I know sacrilege, but when it’s all said and done, I believe he’ll own every Jets record, and multiple super bowl championships. He’s so talented, and he burns to win, as a person he’s as solid as a rock, and there isn’t a skill he doesn’t possess on the field. Go Sammy Go!!!!!!!

@laurence scott He’s so young and has so much he can learn, but he’s one of those players that can do crazy things most can’t do, it’s really exciting as a Jets fan to have a guy that can do those things. If they can just surround him with some talent and give him some time in the pocket, I think he’s going to be really good, all he needs to do is be more consistent under center, and with a better O line I think he can. High hopes over here, hoping they get to play the season, it’s going to be fun to watch him grow as a player. Go Slingin Sammy D….Cheers!!

Sean Frank oh yeah, McGovern is a top 10 center statically over the last 2 years. Becton is a monster but might take some time to develop, might not. Fant is underrated and actually decent, guards are far better scheme fits (Lewis is returning but he wasn’t on the team to start last year). Overall yeah, it should be middle of the pack on paper. Oh and much better depth pieces
@Matt Wisnieski I hope they stay healthy. I wasnt a fan if cutting Winters. I get it, but in a COVID season, we’re too close to a 4th round rookie and Harrison (seems like a good dude, but he simply got demolished last year)
I have so much faith in Darnold. I believe in Joe D. I worry about the patience of ownership and their ability to see how much work still has to be done to the foundation of the whole organization, roster included. Fingers crossed
Chris seems much more competent than woody. He also gave JD a 6 year contract, basically showing he understand it’ll take time.

Idk why people are even questioning this kids ability. Literally came into the league starting at 20. Played 2 years with some of the worst offensive talent around him and still performed well. He’s only 23 going into his 3rd year he’ll be more than fine.
