I’m so proud of the team we have bcuz of guys like this ! I kno timing is everything but man I wish we had him before Grigson put us 7 years behind schedule and can’t help to think we are a Andrew Luck away from starting something very special right now, I’m still sticking by my gut feeling that Andrew comes back after this year ! Either way we are good money !

    vivalasexy

Luck aint coming back mate. It’s frustrating as a Colts fan

    PALE HORSE RIDER

vivalasexy Our Captain will be back from his homestead, I’m hearing his trigger finger inches and his body is well rested, so after the farming is done and the family is in good hands, he will come back to lead his people to battle ! 📯🎺🥁🐴🏇🏻

    Anthony Scioscia

We can’t be talking about luck anymore..guy’s gone and he’s gonna stay gone. We will be good with Rivers this season.

I wonder if the WR from Clemson was there would of we takin him ? Or was the USC kid the one the whole time ? I’ve heard only great things with Pittman even before the draft…

    HighImRell

We were definitely going for higgins but i assume it was a 1 or 2 situation where if either went before we picked we were going to select which ever guy fell to us.

    Raoul Duke

@HighImRell I actually think Pittman was always their guy. He said he was certain he would be drafted by Indy so much so that he wore a blue shirt. Watching his tape he easily would have been a top 15 pick any other year. Luckily, this year is loaded at the position.

    Jacob Perry

    Pittman was always their guy

The Dude Man

I kinda gather they were higher on Higgins. But personally I’m glad they got Pittman.

    HighImRell

100% agree it was either higgins or pittman Bengals made their move and we followed suit i was fine with either just glad we finally addressed WR

    MIchael Norris

I think when he talked about Higgins he just meant that wide receivers were starting to go off the board. I don’t think he meant that he was higher on Higgins than Pittman.

    Tommy2shoe811

For sure. Pittman is a lot more athletic than Higgins and is just as big.

bananabucket

Kevin Bowen always asks the questions I want asked lol

Brett Alexander

Can’t wait to see who we steal in the rest of the draft. Awesome start. I hope we wait til next year to worry about long-term quarterback. This is the year to go all out at every other position. Maybe we can pick off a surplus quarterback or something next year until we focus long term through the draft for the future if Brissets not it and Rivers is a 1 and done

    Hahn

Brett Alexander kinda hoping we trade up next year and grab a franchise QB. We have a great roster and all we need is a qb.

Randal Smith

lol the dude said ” fumble ” when talking about our new RB. c’mon man

    Brian Krosky

Randal Smith he knew it too

    Tommy2shoe811

Freudian slip 😭 freakin HILARIOUS. Maybe Taylor was Irsay’s pick. I heard Irsay on the radio waxing lyrical about him right after they picked him.

pound cake Greatest

I love u ballard i got your back 4 life make tha colts great again go indy

Blake Hudson

Pitman=W Taylor=WW great picks

Darrel Humphrey

Two great picks in the second round of the draft.

Turk Boggrat

Im wondering if the Taylor pick couldve been better used on a cornerback. Thoughts? The Colts had four productive RBs last season, and Nyheim Hines was also their second leading receiver. The cornerbacks are… not looking good. They cut Desir who, while playing hurt, was still their best corner last season. To say that Rock Ya Sin had a rocky rookie season is being kind. The truth is, nobody knows for sure if this guy is going to be a starter in the NFL. I would say he has to make a GIANT leap forward in his second year. As it was, the Colts were 24th-ish in the league against the pass, and they signed Xavier Rhodes to replace Desir… 🤔 Personally, Im really leery about skill-position players around thirty years old, and Rhodes is coming off at least one injury-plagued season. The whole ‘best on the board’ scenario is a good deal most of the time. Sometimes though, you get into situations like this one… Now, Im not sure who I wouldve taken at corner with that pick, I readily admit I dont know. Maybe there wasnt any quality corners left at that time. It just seems like… we were pretty well set at RB and in bad shape at corner…

    Jacob Perry

I just see it as a weapon for the offense that needed talent. Like you I do think they need some depth in the secondary which they could address today, who knows. But they got 2 offensive players that will he immediate impacts and that will be a godsend to the offense.

    Turk Boggrat

@Jacob Perry absolutely needed the WR. Need another imo.

    High5

I’m wondering if they will used Hynes as a special teams returner more and put him as the last RB on the depth chart. It might not be a bad idea to have Mack and Taylor carry the load since Taylor had like over 900 touches in college. Who knows what Ballard doing? I’m in the camp that the pick could have been better used other a RB. But time will tell, people considered Darius Leonard a reach at the time he was drafted.

Keenyn j

Love chris admitting hes his own worst enemy and relies on the scouts opinions.

    Brandon Porter

Keenyn j a good boss relies on his employees. If you don’t trust their judgement then why are they there?

Jacob Perry

I think they partially took Jonathan Taylor to swindle the Jags 😂 I know they were looking at him. So he’s got the thumbs up for that.

Ethan Byanski

So the colts aren’t picking a QB

    Alyosha

Likely not, but if they see a hint of something special with the remaining guys they might take a chance. That feels more like gambling a pick and that isn’t Ballard’s style, though.

Tom Cogar

My question to him – Why did we give up the first pick, why not keep it and with the money saved ) get Jadeveon Clowney? (Or other free agent)Character issues ? Imagine adding Kinlaw andClowny to the roster

    RyanUlring

    Tom Cogar Clowney isn’t a 3 technique

    Tom Cogar

I’m not sure of the rules, if you take a free agent from another team they get a compensatory pick but it doesn’t affect the team that picked up the free agent – do I understand that correctly?

Alex

He never wanted to draft love. Dang

marcus sniffles

Anthony Gordon. I feel like they should take a flyer on him at QB unless they love Chad Kelly (i don’t). I think Jacoby gets traded to the jets

Mike Hunt

I’m glad we took Eason over Fromm. I don’t think he’ll ever start for the colts but he’ll be a solid backup for a while
