Stop preventing Russell, from being able to start of the game by gunning the ball… why is this a lesson that needs to be learned the hard way, every dang season? This is approaching hot seat status, for me, concerning Pete and Brian… stop trying to force the run. Please, let Russell throw it more! We should be 3-0, but 2-1 instead… it’s best to learn these lessons now, instead of in the wildcard round… Go ‘Hawks!

Monitors of Decorum & Decency I wish we could mimic what the chiefs do on offense. It’s not like we got Rosen at QB. We have Wilson, who we paid a ton of money, and we’re only going to be using him sparingly?? In that case, any QB who doesn’t turn the ball over as much would be perfectly fine in our system since Shotty would rather force the run even when we can’t. I believe Shotty is the reason Russ hasn’t had an MVP season and will never be able to with him at OC. We need to adapt on offense to keep up with the modern NFL, which is obviously pass happy, or we’re going to keep seeing these 10-6 or 11-5 seasons and no real run in the playoffs. Like if you just think of it, why does everyone fear the chiefs and think they’ll be in the super bowl? Is it their defense? No. Is it there special teams? No. It’s obviously their offense since they have a great QB who can make big plays. I just don’t get why it’s so hard for us to learn from that.

@KRuiz17 if we do that people will target Russ the way they target mahomes we don’t want Russ getting hurt that’s what I’m thinking at least.

It is unfortunately the Pete Carrol way…there arent ever any major adjustments. Same old same old.

It’s. Time to let Chris Carson go. He can’t hold on to the ball. Maybe he can play on special teams because we sure need help there.

    billytheweasel Reply

    he will be fine

I’m a little confused on why Clowny and Ansah run straight to the center and hit the wall a lot of the time. They’re edge rushers, hence rushing the QB from the edge…like run along the edge and go around the center wall of guards to get to QB fast? Instead of keep running straight to the center and get stopped by the wall.

You can only guess that’s how they’re being coached. I noticed that too. Gotta get back on track! The talent is there…

Special teams had let a rookie beat us, our front 4 on d looked avg at best in rushing the qb and not a sack from are vets, Saints definitely came prepared and the Hawks didn’t. Wilson 405 in passing enough said he did his job. Anyhow its early so lesson learn Go Hawks!

billytheweasel Reply

Yeah… so we wont be 16-0.
Someone surprised?

Let’s just cap it and forget about the Re.

Siempre la decidía de querer correr el balón! Tienen que utilizar mucho más a Wilson o se les irán partidos ganables como estos! En casa es imperdonable

that was a necessary wake up call for us to work on those self harming things we do to ourselves. the earlier we get those little things fixed the better because we still got hard opponents left this season

We need to create turnovers instead of turning over

I thought the Bevell playbook on 3rd down was gone. What is happening?! 3rd and 8 and the play is a 3 yard pass?
Id love to see some adjustments everywhere…but the offensive line and playcalling is subpar…again.
Wilson can create…let him do it..all game, not just the 2nd half.
