Can’t wait for the future
This is the most optimistic I’ve ever been in management and leadership. Keep up the good work, Sheila.
I’m a total closet-optimist right now. It’s hard to convince even myself that I have actual hope for once.
I think you did good Mrs. Sheila. Not throwing money away in free agency to older players, signing who I wanted DJ Chark, hopefully he loves it here and has a great season. We have so much draft capital, watching the Jaguars spend as much as they could quickly I’m very happy at how smart were playing it right now.
This is the 1st time in my 32 years as a Lions Fan I’ve heard the owner do a 1 on 1 interview and talk about the team. Shelia definitely is different than her parents I’m glad she got control on our team’s future

Just the fact she was willing to sit down for an interview says a lot. Her father and mother couldn’t run away fast enough from the reporters post game, and they never sat down for an interview from what i recall. I don’t know if Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes will deliver a Super Bowl, but this is easily the most hopeful I’ve been as a Lions fan in my 36 years so far.
I have NO DOUBT at all DC and the Madman going to get us to the super bowl. With Shiela’s hand at the helm they are building this team for the long term. 5 years tops and we’re in the Super Bowl.
Everything Sheila said is what we all been wanting to hear for a very long time I’m loving this new ownership and regime

I’m glad that this interview happend. I’ve been telling people Shelia is different. She played collegiate tennis at Yale. She clearly has a competitive spirit. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of turning the lions around. Your legacy would echo through eternity.

That. Ladies and Gentlemen is Leadership. She had a vision, set the table, got her team in place. And gives them the trust and room to do their jobs. She closed with how she is involved, but, letting DC and The Madman do their jobs. The Ford family finally put the right person in charge. She is football smart and above all else passionate. God I love this team!

I am soooo happy that the owner wants to be so involved, and actually learn all that it takes to run a team and more than willing to sit back and be taught everything she needs to know about it. That is outstanding!! A+
The thing that shines through with all the hires and the top brass and coaches, they all are rooting for each other and genuinely excited at each others success. Detroit may not be a classic destination for players wanting to head here, but it now seems like once we get guys in the building they want to stay and are committed to improving for the whole. Great hires, great direction, the process has been fantastic, the team was injured a lot last year and never gave up, young guys kept stepping in and stepping up and we became somewhat competitive. Year 2 is looking like we can become a .500 ball club give or take.
Adams is gone and Karen Rodgers is gonna be an overpaid distraction. Bears and Vikings have new coaches and are starting over. If the Lions get the post bye Goff and the defense is more experienced, plus the hungry high pick rookies….watch out
I’m even more optimistic we could win 8 to 10 this year
I appreciate how Sheila Ford Hamp gave this interview. Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell are committed to working and collaborating together with our Detroit Lions players. I see an NFL postseason winning team and Super Bowl Championship berth clincher in the works.
