Excellent insight into an owner that is doing a far better job than her family. She seems genuinely excited and passionate about the team. That’s not something I often felt with our other owners. I hope she keeps up the hard work. Good luck Sheila!
Couldn’t agree more. She’s finally an owner that is letting football people run the show but still being involved.
Shes smart and knows what she doesn’t know.
I think growing up as an athlete has shifted Shiela’s perspective away from her parents’ perspectives. She can see and understand things better and on a deeper level than her parents. She has that competitive passion that drives from being in a sport, and it shows.
She has done more for this organization in the last two years than the rest of them did in 40 !!!!!!

pays the salaries, has final say on who gets fired, hands out punishment for her employees if need be, negotiates marketing deals and many other things… but she doesn’t run the team because she’s not the head coach?

I love how much more open and visible she is compared to previous owners. I appreciate her perspective and you can see the positive change in the org since she started.

She’s the one. What she has done within her first 2 years of ownership has this franchise on the turn around. The pieces she put in place, with brad Holmes leading the ship, has me filled with joy as a lions fan. I’m beyond excited for the 2022 nfl season. Bring on Hard knocks!

On thanksgiving a few years ago, the lions were getting destroyed. The camera pans to Sheila and you see her with her head in her hands. Embarrassed, pissed and tired of the mediocrity. Right then I knew, she’s one of us. She gets it, and wants to right the ship and bring us a winner!

But I truly think we have a group up top that wants it. But I get why some think it’s BS. 60 years of it can wear out a fan base lol

Very impressive. I can see why Brad Holmes & Dan Campbell took a chance on the Detroit Lions. She convinced them she wanted to establish a brand new day for this team, believed in these two gentlemen to do the job, & gave them the authority to do what they knew was necessary to properly change the culture the & the team into a winning one.
She hired these exceptional football people & deserves to be included in the credit given for the hope so many of us are feeling towards this team.

I think she has done the best out of the whole family in running the team. I love her drive and confidence. Her psychology degree comes in handy in dealing with all the different backgrounds of players and coaches. The fact she is doing all this in a male dominated business is a tribute to her character.
