Robert Glenn

I remember him. Thanks for the memories Mr. Harris and the best shot of that catch is the shot behind the end zone.

I watched that game on TV with my Dad….. I was 12 years old.
It was pandemonium in our family room too for about Β½ hour that afternoon.

Edit: After that we could not stop smiling for days πŸ™‚
….. and then it was Christmas. πŸŽ„
….. and then the undefeated Miami Dolphins beat us on the way to their perfect season.
….. and then….. I went back to 7th grade the next day and the pandemonium was over.

But Pittsburgh was just getting started…… πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†

What a time to be a young kid at the beginning of what has become Steeler Nation! πŸ–€πŸ˜πŸ’›

Was my favorite player when I was little. I wore his number and wanted to be a running back just like him. I was a wingback and ran the ball but I was a late bloomer and was way too little. Haha
Congratulations Franco! We’ll deserved!

How is his jersey just now being retired? Shouldn’t this have happened like 40 years ago?

Ron Leight

Somewhere tonight, Atkinson and Villapiano are still crying!! LOVE IT!! Congratulations Franco!!!

Steve Schmidt

Love both of you. Thanks

Where has this overhead video been all these years??? This is found gold and proves beyond a doubt that that ball never touched the ground. This is the football equivalent of the holy grail. Franco never broke stride to pick the ball up off of the ground or trap it. If he had done that, he would have been tackled. Also, the lane that opened up for him was like the parting of the Red Sea. What a play!!!
